Job Description

Main Purpose – what is the main objective/purpose of the role? (Max 2-3 lines summarizing the role)
This is a technical full time role. Train and certify operators, conduct IPS audits, troubleshoot and fix operational issues, ensure equipment is running per standards, deliver shift platform performance. This position is a third step and follows Senior Operator SET Job in Technical Career Path.



Accountabilities – list in priority order the main accountabilities/deliverables of the role, including key measures. These should be clearly the responsibilities of the JOB HOLDER.

  • Administer yearly operator certification
  • Deliver site platform AOP Plan for the shift
  • Fix brand operational opportunities
  • Ensure PepsiCo product quality standards are maintained
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment
  • Identify equipment and operational opportunities and have them fixed
  • Ensure line is running per standards every hour in his/her shift
  • Conduct Running Patrols-Running Right Process
  • Support Process Specialist with Productivity Projects
  • Support Manufacturing mgr/Plant mgr to deliver site KPIs
  • Conducts GAP Analysis
  • Conducts Material Balance
  • Support Starfleet Site Audits as needed
  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve productivity and cost savings
  • Conduct site IPS Audits per MOS Specifications
  • Support commissioning effort with in the BU or Sector level as needed
  • Identify and develop pipeline SETs

  • Monitor equipment operation and line performance to deliver line AOP Targets within the shift:
  • % Film Waste
  • Excess Give Away (EGA)
  • % Equipment and Operational Down Time as per AOP
  • % Green Packaging Quality Attributes
  • 100% Capable Operators (Machine Operation Competency)
  • Deliver Schedule Attainment to Plan (93% AVC)
  • Maintain Standard Line Speeds as per AOP
  • Labor Utilization as per AOP (kg/manhour)
  • Sustainability KPIs
  • Safety KPIs




Key Skills/Experience Required – specific education/certification, specific functional experience, language etc NEEDED for the job. Please note that this is not necessarily the incumbent’s personal background.

  • Good English communication skills preferred, minimum basic understanding of English language is required
  • Certified by RET or MOS
  • Incumbent must be able manage all technical aspects of the manufacturing lines they are responsible for
  • Hands on experience on machine operations & troubleshooting
  • Demonstrates technical competency & leadership skills
  • Ability to influence others
  • Understands operational impact on key KPIs and delivers performance
  • Computer Skills ( Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word, Statistical Tools) Must successfully complete all the required pre-requisite Training prior to SET Certification
  • Is able to travel as required

Qualifications/Requirements

Experience

  • Essential: 3-4 years
  • Desirable: 6-7 years

Education

  • Essential: BE/B Tech /Diploma in Engineering Discipline preferably in Instrumentation
  • Desirable: BE/B Tech /Diploma in Engineering Discipline preferably in Instrumentation
