Job Description

MAIN SCOPE:
Ensure the supply and implementation of materials and services purchase strategy, for the necessity to complete the operation of the Operating Unit ensuring the lowest price and best quality. First point contact and Global Procurement representative within the Operating Unit. Responsible of the whole direct procurement team and matricial responsible for Indirect team, who have to full responsibility of assure the best purchase based on trends, and environmental carrying. With the intention of create synergy between the local and global strategies for grant that procurement Global is carried out on time and form .

The Market Supply Office (MSO) represents Global Procurement within the Operating Unit. About Caribbean/ Central America (CARICAM), this Operating Unit (OU) based in Miami includes 4 Market Unit (MU) based in Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Panamá. Each OP and MU has its own ExComm/Leaders team to whom the MSO needs to align GP strategies to ensure business needs. She/he is also involved and responsible for Indirect procurement issues as matricial leader. This Operating Unit with 4 Market Unit and 7 countries its highly complex due to different business scenarios in scope, high dependency on imported materials and volatile currencies (Fx exposure).

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Deliver Growth:
  • Develops and executes Operating Unit SBP / AOP Strategy for Category (Commodity, Productivity, Cash Flow, etc.)
  • Designs and implements procurement strategies to assure that the Operating Unit operates and grows productively, while guaranteeing materials and services supply with low cost and high quality.
  • Develops Global Procurement organizational capabilities and create synergies between local and global procurement organizations.
  • Responsible of securing the supply for CU, assuring high quality standards, On-time deliveries, bench cost ingredients and food safety regulations.
2. Create Productivity:
  • Responsible for the creation of productivity strategies and projects aimed to produce +5% of Net Productivity for CU.
  • Responsible for the execution and creation of strategies aimed to improved the Cash-Flow through the extension of Payment Terms and the reduction of material inventories.
3. Drive Future Success:
  • Delivers business innovation agenda and identifies supplier lead innovation opportunities.
  • Lead vendor negotiation and selection process based on understanding current ad future needs, assessment on market trend, in deep industry analysis, benchmarking, linking and leveraging, supplier analysis and relationship management. Ensure 100% supplier alignment to Code of Conduct process. Drive full implementation of Business Continuity Plan for critical suppliers.
  • Responsible for the creation of long-term sourcing strategies in order to secure a sustainable sourcing system for CU supply needs (Supplier relationships, new sourcing origins, alternative suppliers, diversification).

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Degree in Ag finance/Economics, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain related field preferred
  • 5-10 years experience in the same capacity
  • Experience working with logistics & supplier relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Spanish & English)
  • Ability to analyze complex business scenarios, develop and evaluate actionable solutions and push through to completion and implementation
  • Ability to effectively communicate, interact and influence individuals from varying groups and levels including internal or external customers
  • Demonstrated record of accomplishment in negotiating complex contracts and supplier relationship management
  • Expertise in financial business case analysis and cost modelling
  • Results orientated – comfortable with setting stretch targets for self and team
  • Proven decision-making, problem solving skills, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Experience leading a dispersed team in a complex, matrix environment
