-The Legal Manager Works independently to provide legal support and legal opinions to Egypt Commercial Unit on all matters.
-Act as a strategic partner in supporting the business and ensure provision of accurate, timely, and reliable legal advice.
-Ensure the accurate, reliable and timely issuance of contracts in accordance with company policies and all local statutory requirements
-Research and provide timely legal advice to all functions in relation to all corporate, civil, commercial, criminal and labor law queries that are raised
-Implement company’s policies related to corporate work and provide support to all other functions in relation to documentation required for the implementation of company policies and processes
-Proactively identify areas of opportunity and improvement in Law department processes and interface with the business and work with both the business and Control to ensure that appropriate processes are in place and are revisited and revised to meet business needs and challenges
-Provide training to the business as per the agreed legal to business training schedules on Anti-Bribery, Competition Laws...etc.
-Interface with Region and Corporate functions on initiatives, reporting, and sharing best practices
-Contribute to the development of more junior team members
-Attend management meetings and audit committee meetings when required and provide legal support to functions during said meetings
-Supporting Commercial Unit Control Environment Committee, on initiatives, investigations, speak ups, etc., as requested
-Recommending, organizing and conducting technical training sessions to the Legal Function
-Support Commercial Unit Senior Legal Director in setting team strategy, must win battles, and annual priorities and follow through on the implementation.
-Provide general support to Commercial Unit Senior Legal Director
-Be one of the possible benches for Commercial Unit Legal Director


Excellent knowledge of local laws and corporate regulations; knowledge of international standards of practice; ability to prioritize tasks based on business need; knowledge of local litigation procedures and court directions; experience in corporate compliance regulations; experience in drafting reviewing and negotiating all kinds of contracts; and experience in dealing with suppliers, customers and different stakeholders are required. An understanding of the business would be valuable
Bachelor of Law is required. Masters of Law is a plus.
Prior Work Experience:
Minimum 8 years’ experience in a multinational company or corporate legal firm is required.
Language Proficiency:
Fluency in spoken & written Arabic & English is required.
