Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Finance Analyst is a key member of the supply chain team and is responsible for the complete reporting and management of inventory and cost of goods sold for both Gatorade and Concentrate product lines. The role works with various PBC cross functional partners including with the Field Supply Chain and Planning departments to review, monitor and ensure the delivery of accurate financial results.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete supply chain period close process for Concentrate and Gatorade with respect to inventory and cost of goods sold this includes responsibility for journal entry processing
  • Provide process improvements including enhancing period models for accurate and more efficient reporting. This would include but not limited to Gatorade concentrate model (GGCS), Profit in Inventory calculation and Concentrate tracking model.
  • Review and analyze standard costing models and variances in conjunction with planning team on an periodic and annual basis;
  • Perform variance analysis vs. prior year, plan and forecast on COGS and inventory periodically in conjunction with the planning team;
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and analysis for all related accounts on a periodic basis;
  • Manage intercompany transactions and related reconciliations;
  • Support field locations on related accounting matters including on the inventory system and reconciliation process;
  • Ensure all PBC policies with respect to inventory and cost of goods sold are being adhered to for PBC field locations. Work with field locations leads to improve processes, controls, periodic reconciliations to reduce inventory losses;
  • Prepare, review and analyze marginal contribution reports by product line on periodic basis in conjunction with the planning team. Identify opportunities for improvement in marginal contribution based on analysis performed;
  • Ensure the transfer pricing is maintained in financial systems and records. ;
  • Manage the sku rationalization process in conjunction with the field and planning teams;
  • Complete Stewardship recycling reports for the various provinces including variance analysis to prior year. Manage and support related legislative audits as required;
  • Prepare analysis to determine annual pricing for full good sales to franchised owned bottlers;
  • Review and analyze standard costing models and variances in conjunction with planning team on an periodic and annual basis;
  • Complete period forecasting purchases where hedging programs are in place and assist in the preparation of all hedging reporting to Head Quarters;
  • Assist with quarterly commodity reporting and related variance analysis;
  • Support the Supply Chain Manager with ad hoc requests as needed;


Preferred Experiences, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business/Finance or related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Experience in CPG industry considered an asset
  • Accounting designation (CPA)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of Essbase, Business Objects, Oracle and SAP an asset
