Job Description

  • Improve Promo process and local tools
    • Develop sustainable promo guidelines in OT based on ROI outcome & reduce loss making promo spend
      • Analyse and model the performance of existing and potential new deals, to understand what works for the company and the customers
      • Define the permitted level of promotional discount and dealing mechanics that account teams are allowed on each product
      • Provide direction for quarterly calendar build
      • Assure inter-channel balance
    • Lead Promote business case build and start up in all businesses (3 year roll out project in 3 phases). Project benefit expected 0.1pp NRR (~0.4MM/year)
    • Define Promo ROI in OT for both business, extending the current model to Snacks business and other customers
  • CDA performance in OT/ Distributors effective D&A
    • Drive RADAR strategic understanding and in-depth analysis based on Commercial Governance Planning operational case build up
    • Build the “process” for CDA counterparts benchmarking and build-up
    • Build Trade Spend Strategy organization capability to move towards pay for performance in OT channel
    • Lead the process for Folding terms in OT channel
    • Develop compensation model across business (direct & indirect)
    • Lead Max the Mix initiative rolled ou by Sector

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Qualifications:
    • Business planning experience in FMCG environment
    • D&A understanding for Organised Trade and Traditional Trade channels
    • Deep understanding of financial modelling
    • Education: University degree, preferably economics / business management
    • Language: Excellent command of written & spoken English
  • Abilities:
    • Strategic thinking –medium abilities but with high potential
    • Analytical skills able to point out relevant key info
    • Good interpersonal skills; collaboration, influencing through strong clear communication, securing difficult alignment, negotiation, assertiveness
    • Very good communication skills; present written information in a clear and compelling way, logical verbal communicator
    • Ability to step beyond core analysis to understand the wider commercial framework (Marketing objectives, account relationships, financial objectives, etc.)
    • Commercial instinct to understand key business drivers & identify value creation opportunities
    • Action focussed – able to understand the issues and work with Sales to align on course corrective action
    • Thoroughness, attention to detail, accuracy of work
