Position Purpose and Primary Accountabilities

The purpose of this role is to support the Finance Manager in delivering the Reporting and FP&A requirements in the Ireland PO1 Market unit, specifically through:

  • Ownership of the period end process including period journals and close call;
  • Attendance at monthly forecast meetings and leading the planning and forecasting cycle (Budget/Forecast);
  • Providing commentary on the main drivers of the P&L and communicating key variances;
  • Ownership and maintenance of the Pepsico Control System framework & Risk Assessments;
  • Deliver of the regional and sector reporting requirement (Rolling forecast/Cause of change etc.)
  • Point of contact for various internal & external Audit processes e.g. annual statutory audit;
  • Coordinating the Periodic business review deck on a monthly basis ensuring clear communication of key business activities including R&O
  • Ownership of the balance sheet accruals and prepayment tracking by period;
  • Supporting/Coordinating the delivery of the Balance sheet review process;
  • Ownership for a variety of data systems and planning tools to ensure integrity of reporting data and best practise forecast accuracy.
  • Management of Selling general & administration expenses & Shopper Marketing spend;
  • Key business partner for Management of Advertising and Marketing spend tracking;
  • Responsibility for supporting Accounts Payable process for the Ireland business;

This role operates within the Ireland PO1 team and has reporting and lateral relationships across multiple constituents:

  • Report to the Ireland Finance Manager
  • Key lateral relationships with the Commercial Finance & Functional heads.
  • Regular interaction with UK Control & reporting teams , GBIN Planning teams
Interaction with IBM
  • PO1 team / UK Finance & Controls teams / GBIN Finance team / Sector contacts



  • Professional accounting qualification recommended (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)

Previous Experience
  • Experienced accounting background
  • Previous experience within an FMCG business
  • Previous experience in an FP&A role

  • Energetic, results driven, team player, strong analytical & strategic thinking skills
  • Effective & persuasive communication and coaching skills
  • Strong Excel ability and Power point skills an advantage
  • Willingness to travel as required.
