Job Description

Support the UK Customer Service & Logistics ambient service (Walkers & Quaker) agenda to provide best in class inventory management and service execution, to deliver +98.5% inbound performance to all customers.

The role focuses on efficient and timely control of all inventory processed through the Southern Regional Distribution Centre (SRDC) for the PepsiCo UK ambient network. The role includes a high level of interface with multiple stakeholders across the logistics function such as; Operations Managers, Performance Coordinators, Finance Team, DRP Team, Front Line employees and Warehouse Technicians.

There is a high focus on compliance in this role with responsibilities for Global Control Systems (GCS) processes and governance at SRDC.

The role is also a key stakeholder in projects to improve customer service aligning to wider productivity & supply chain strategy.


POSITION PURPOSE AND PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Conduct root cause analysis on all in-stock service errors partnering with wider logistics teams
  • Monitoring and reporting on short term stock availability, prioritising goods in and crossing off when necessary
  • Investigation and timely reporting of failures, late movements, and other incidents with the periodical review of processes in a view to continuous improvement service levels
  • Supports site based low code analysis and control partnering with DRP/Low Code teams
  • Reporting on stock levels, using periodic counts to ensure accuracy, and investigating anomalies and reconciling IWT variance as required
  • Facilitating the management of low code stock, reporting as required
  • Management of SKUs, including establishing new and delisting obsolete, in line with site change management
  • Management of pick face stock levels / locations and buffers
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of training and best practice sharing between co-workers and the FLE population
  • Following all GCS requirements with an annual review of GCS documentation
  • Supports relevant elements of overall Network improvement plan to deliver <0.2% network error
  • Break cover for stock control for warehouse tech team as required
  • Provide absence cover for DRP Team as required
  • Processing and reporting destructions as required
  • Management of pick face stock levels / locations and buffers
  • Ensure NPD is launched flawlessly with the correct settings and processes in place and followed in SRDC
  • Support ad-hoc project activity related to service performance as and when required
  • Point of contact for advice and guidance to internal and external sources
  • Other functions and duties as reasonably assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES

Essential Skills

  • Able to plan and control own work, selecting and utilising effectively appropriate methods, procedures, tools, equipment and standards to meet all targets set
  • Have a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to deliver accurate reports and presentations
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to understand the wider field outside of own specialisation and understands how own role relates to other roles within the business
  • Knowledge of a typical logistics network, and its constraints
  • Intermediate skills in all Microsoft Applications
  • Knowledge of systems associated with stock control (e.g. IMI, Oracle, SAP, OFTS, supply chain menu, JDA, Qlikview etc)
  • Intermediate skills in all Microsoft Applications
  • Ability to absorb and embrace change

Educational Background

  • Educated to degree level preferred
  • Or, strong track record within PepsiCo

Previous Experience
  • Must have broad experience in logistics environments
  • IT systems experience an advantage
  • Stock/inventory control experience is desirable

Technical skills
  • Detailed knowledge of logistics processes and operations.
  • Expert knowledge of logistics systems and current software packages
