Job Description

The Senior Manager, Water Portfolio Analytic Insights, is responsible for providing ongoing assessment of business performance and drivers using advanced analytic tools and data sets for the Water portfolio and brands. Deliver quarterly and year end business reviews, business driver’s assessment and ROI of media, in-market innovation analytics (diagnostics, optimization).

  • Promote and foster a "learning culture" by monitoring in-market performance (and recommending course-corrections when applicable) and leveraging key learnings to set direction for future strategies/plans
  • Proactively identify opportunities and risks; comfortable and credible communicating with and challenging peers to drive strategies and decision-making within a Global Matrix environment. Must be persistent and persuasive in driving recommendations forward
  • Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional business teams, the broader insights organization and external supplier/partners
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of PepsiCo's Insights & Analytics function by (joining/leading) project teams aimed at advancing functional excellence.
  • Drive organizational alignment to the marketing and sales activities that most efficiently drives volume, revenue, profit, and equity
  • Develop assessment of ROI and associated trade-offs across marketing programs to inform AOP. Articulate opportunities to optimize or improve marketing effectiveness and efficiency by leveraging MROI techniques including Marketing Mix Analysis
  • Create direction and inspire trust within your brand marketing teams by consistently leveraging fact-based analysis to identify category & brand growth opportunities
  • Lead critical innovation analytics including, new product volume forecasting/ tracking/optimization/post-launch evaluation
  • Analyze the business using multiple dimensions (sales trends, HH purchase dynamics, cohorts, etc.) and identify opportunities to improve business performance. Expert on syndicated data, tools, and techniques (e.g. scanner, panel, etc.)
  • Assess and leverage new ways to visualize data in order to identify issues & opportunities faster


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree
    A minimum of 5 years prior work experience
    A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with IRI/Nielsen sales and panel data, applying advanced statistical models to CPG business issues

    Blend of CPG and Vendor experience
    Excellent project management skills

    Ability to effectively collaborate, communicate and influence in a matrix environment
    Creative thinking and problem solving skills
    Demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate relationships
