Job Description

The FP&A Sr. Analyst will be responsible for supporting the financial planning, forecasting and analysis for PepsiCo’s Compensation and Benefits plans, supporting the overall management of $1.5B rate letter budget. This role will also be responsible for providing financial control and administrative support to budget owners of Comp & Ben administrative programs. As well, this role supports the forecasting and planning for $80MM annual expense budget for HRSS.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Compensation & Benefits Administrative budgets:

  • Process invoices for the Comp & Ben Administrative programs (~80 invoices per period)
    • Perform periodic tracking for non-retirement benefits
    • Provide accrual oversight for all Comp & Ben groups
    • Ensure adherence to PepsiCo financial policies as they pertain to invoice processing/approval, timely booking of accruals, facilitating cross-charges and performing/developing additional financial controls as warranted
  • Perform periodic review of actuals vs forecast for the Comp & Ben admin budgets
    • Partner with budget owners to understand drivers of variances between actuals vs forecast
    • Monitor risk/(opp) within each of the respective budgets
    • Communicate forecast adjustments and quarterly true-ups
Compensation & Benefits Rate Letter:
  • Support Director, Corporate FP&A with planning and forecasting comp & ben rate letter
  • Perform annual headcount validation
  • Assist in data gathering and data entry, as needed
  • Perform ad hoc requests related to the comp & ben planning process
  • Confirm annual cost center mapping with Finance leads in each Sector/Corp/ Horizontal departments
  • Build rate letters for Sectors/Corp/Horizontal departments
  • Perform detail analysis of PY forecast vs. Plan by Sectors/Corp/Horizontal departments
Plan/Forecast Global HR Shared Services:
  • Support the development of the annual operating plan for HRSS
  • Perform period review for budget with insights to potential opportunities/risks
  • Update and submit periodic forecast

Qualifications/Requirements

  • BA or BS with 3-5 years relevant experience
  • MBA and/or CPA a plus
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel modeling skills a must, Bloomberg, Hyperion, Factset tools a plus)
  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills with ability to develop and perform variance analysis
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Financial Controls
  • Highly motivated and able to work with a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to work effectively with personnel from all levels of staff and management
  • Time pressures in this job to get things done quickly as numerous ad-hoc requests from senior HR executives; requires ability to change/shift priorities
  • Strong Excel modeling skills and Power Point skills required; proficiency in SAP, IRI preferred
  • Ability to analyze large volume of data, develop meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills; must be able to prioritize, multitask and manage project deadlines
