Job Description

The digital analyst will play a key role in utilizing our social listening capabilities to enhance insights and reporting within our Analytics & Amplification practice. Analyst will be directly involved in the company’s social listening strategy and championing it across the organization. Through always-on monitoring, analyzing influencer behaviors, and identifying engagement opportunities and optimizations across owned, earned, and paid media channels, analyst will be providing our communications team and partners with timely insights for business decisions and recommendations. Analyst will also support PepsiCo digital content amplification and measurement, driving efficiency and results for corporate communications.
  • Maintain and update all queries within social listening platform. This includes building out additional dashboards and visual
  • Provide timely support for all crisis monitoring or ad hoc requests with analytics as well as community support data exports
  • Responsible for weekly updates on key issues and monthly reporting.
  • Collaborate with communications colleagues on topics and trend reporting topics each month
  • Partner with social listening platform provider to derive the most from the tool
  • Attend conferences and workshops to stay up to date on new social listening strategies
  • Discover and learn to use new analytics tools
  • Identify optimization opportunities and develop innovative reporting methodologies.
Social Listening:
  • Utilize social analytics platform to analyze social media conversations to garner insights for reporting.
  • Become the SME in social listening analytics, and responsible for crisis monitoring, topic analysis and trend reporting, Long-term reputation measurement, ad hoc requests, and case studies/
  • Stay up-to-date on new social listening strategies and tools, and work with vendor account team to instill best practices.
  • Monitor corporate brand activity over time to understand reputation, demographics, consumer perceptions, attitudes, behaviors, and affinities, and how they vary across our categories and competitors.
  • Collaborate with Brand and Innovation teams by identifying trends and emerging categories.

Media Strategy and Measurement (Amplification):
  • In addition to social listening, this position requires a basic understanding of paid media strategy and execution across digital channels, including but not limited to paid social, video, search, native content, publisher partnerships and influencer activation.
  • Manage all reporting (organic and paid) across PepsiCo paid, owned, earned and shared media. Identify optimization opportunities and develop innovative reporting methodologies.
  • Understand media performance data, develop insights derived from the data and communicate these insights as actions for the digital team and communications teams SME’s.
  • Collaborate with social and content teams to provide expertise and recommendations for paid media opportunities.
  • Collaborate with agency to execute paid media campaigns and manage media budgets.
  • Have an understanding of media platforms and intellectual curiosity to continuously learn more, as the media landscape is always changing.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Strong analytical, data interpretation, and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint:
    • Excel includes efficiently utilizing pivot tables, formulas and filtering.
    • PowerPoint includes creating compelling presentations with clear and concise display of information.
  • Broad understanding of corporate communications topics and audiences
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to summarize key findings into clear and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to plan and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
