Role Summary:

The Sustainability Reporting and Analytics Specialist will focus on identifying opportunities and leading the delivery of new tools, processes, and platforms to evolve capabilities in sustainability data, reporting and analytics. The individual will implement process and technology solutions, in partnership with IT and other service providers, to track and report on PepsiCo Sustainability initiatives globally across the 3 Pillars of Sustainability - Product, Planet and People and provide data summaries, trends and analytics to support reporting and external communication. Multiple types of data and data sources will need to be managed (e.g. sustainable farming campaign, product nutrition, energy, GHGs, water, waste, transportation, packaging, diversity). To be successful, individual will need to interact with various levels of the organization and business groups to help define and prioritize the business needs, translate those needs into actionable plan and lead execution of the plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead definition and delivery of data systems and analytics capabilities to realize Sustainable Agriculture Program and other goals of our PwP 2025 agenda:
    • Working in partnership with sustainability subject matter experts, develop detailed business and functional specifications for systems to evolve capabilities in data measurement, reporting and analytics and accelerate ability to meet PwP agenda
    • Evaluate, propose and secure leadership buy-in on the most optimal solutions taking into account various factors like the short term/long term business needs, end user experience, return on investment, emerging technologies and service models etc.
    • Manage delivery of implementation plans in partnership with IT and external service providers and own QA/QC efforts to ensure solutions meet the business and functional specifications
  • Develop advanced analytics capabilities around sustainability by leveraging best-in class practices and cutting edge technologies to look ahead and develop insights to shape the future of sustainability within our business
  • Engage and collaborate with sustainability personnel in multiple areas of the business globally to understand and ensure the business needs on data, reporting and analytics are being addressed and met
  • Establish, manage, and oversee Change Management processes for new data and reporting applications
  • Lead and manage day to day activities of small team comprised of contractors and/or employees


  • 8+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in identifying and implementing data and analytics solutions for driving business goals
  • Developing business and functional specifications for multiple desired business capabilities
  • Assessing software tools, solutions and service delivery models and recommending the best fit for the situation at hand
  • Managing end to end delivery of large and complex data and analytics solutions on premise and in the cloud
  • Developing advanced analytics solutions – model building, AI, machine learning etc.
  • Working in a fast paced agile development model
  • Experience in sustainability or related field and sustainability tracking tools a plus
  • Previous experience in a CPG company a plus

Key Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and project management in both Waterfall and Agile methods
  • Working knowledge of building solutions in databases like SQL server, Teradata; using Cloud services like AWS/Azure; and App Dev in .NET or similar technologies
  • Working knowledge of building compelling stories using tools like Tableau, BOBJ etc.
  • Working knowledge of Big Data technologies like Hadoop Hortonworks, Teradata Aster, Azure HDInsight etc.
  • Working knowledge of developing Advanced Analytics solutions in R, Alteryx, SAS, Azure Machine Learning etc.

Education Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or System Technology or related field
  • MBA or masters preferred
