Job Description

The Senior Manager, Compensation Policy & Job Evaluation is responsible for developing global job evaluation policy & frameworks for the executive population, leading the global VP-level and above job evaluation and staffing process, developing and monitoring global related governance protocols, project managing the global pay equity project and applying pay equity predictive models and analytics to core compensation policies and processes.


The role has two distinct areas of focus: Pay Equity and Job Evaluation

With respect to pay equity, the position will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the global pay equity salary adjustment review process, including development of multi-variable regression predictive pay models and global policy. The role will act as the global project manager for the initiative, leading a cross-functional team including members of Total Rewards, Workforce Analytics, HR Operations, Legal and Communications and partnering with external consultancies to ensure accurate analysis is completed for more than 60,000 salaried employees in 30 countries
  • Developing and delivering stakeholder communications
  • Ensuring global pay equity initiative is meeting PWP 2025 commitments; and
  • Developing creative solutions to apply the pay equity predictive models to other compensation policies, such as external hiring practices, internal promotions, and broad base salary management

With respect to job evaluation, the position is responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining job evaluation frameworks for executives across global functions and key job families based on deep understanding of job content, organization structure, compensation strategies and strategic priorities
  • Providing strategic thought leadership on job evaluation policies, procedures and processes, including emerging trends and leading practices from the key markets in which we operate;
  • Leading LG4+ job evaluation and staffing process globally, including aligning Sector TR RM teams, CHROs and obtaining EVP HR approval
  • Partnering with Relationship Managers, Job Evaluation CoE and other key stakeholders in evaluating changing LG4+ roles during M&A and other transformational activities
  • Managing global insider trading list management and process
  • Managing global P-band process; and
  • Identifying and maintaining relationships with key consultancies to maintain current knowledge of external trends and leading practices in job evaluation

Key Relationships

  • Work closely with the Compensation CoE team to deliver global governance protocols which complement the broad compensation strategy/agenda
  • Interact closely with Relationship Managers, SDT teams and HR business partners
  • Work with other Total Reward CoE leaders and key stakeholders to ensure cohesive program policy, governance and exception management
  • Lead cross-functional team of Workforce Analysis, Legal, Communications, HR Operations and Total Rewards for pay equity efforts

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills, with strong aptitude for learning
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and drive multiple competing agendas
  • Global mindset, with ability to translate business strategy into comp. design
  • Strong ability to develop relationships, collaborate effectively and influence at all levels of the organization
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • College degree required; advanced degree and/or industry certification preferred
