Title: Full-Time Packaging Machine Operator

If you're looking for a challenging position with one of the world's leading snack food companies, here's your chance to join our team as a PMO at our Taber facility.

Job Description

  • In cooperation with other PMO’s, provide functional leadership, coaching, and technical support in the Packaging area.
  • Participate in / facilitate gap meetings, pre-shift and post-shift meetings, product and packaging walls.
  • Assist in the development, actioning and implementation of long and short term strategic plans in the Packaging area.
  • Ensure manufacturing capabilities and quality standards are achieved and improved.
  • Ensure safety standards and practices are achieved and improved.
  • Develop self, individuals and teams to promote a level 3/4 organization.
  • Role model for behaviours based on co-operation, collaboration and excellence.
  • Work cross-functionally with other areas of the plant and provide input to team decisions
  • Maintain and operate all packaging equipment in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Ensure that sanitation and food safety guidelines are followed.
  • Observe Good Manufacturing Practices ( GMP’s ) and provide GMP coaching
  • Support end of week sanitation duties and preventative maintenance (TPM) responsibilities as required

  • High degree of organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand the whole business and the impact Packaging has on it.
  • Ability to lift +50lbs at all levels
