Job Description

This Regulatory Affairs intern position supports US [Frito-Lay/Nutrition/Beverages] Regulatory Affairs initiatives related to implementation of the USDA National Bioengineered (BE) Food Disclosure Law. The person in this position will interact with the US Regulatory Team, cross functional teams and ingredient suppliers to complete assigned projects.

The primary focus of this position is to collect supplier BE ingredient data, update ingredient, formula and label specifications accordingly and supporting graphics updates. This includes assessing accuracy of all vendor data against new USDA regulations and then determining finished product BE labeling requirements based on said data. The person in this position will also be required to support the regulatory team as they implement any updates required to R&D software systems in order to calculate and track BE information, including participating in User Acceptance Testing.

20-25 hours/week throughout 2019 with flexible hours to accommodate class schedules.


  • Pursuing BS Degree in Science, Regulatory, Nutrition, or equivalent as minimum
  • Detail oriented, adaptable, ability to work independently
  • Excellent computer skills are essential. Must be quick to learn new systems
  • Project management, strong communication skills, as frequent communication with US regulatory team members and vendor regulatory teams is required
