Job Description

  • Lead and deliver a clear strategy and game-changing innovation/brand plans to meet West Europe growth ambition and scale nuts category,
  • Partner with Marketing Director on developing nuts category growth strategy within PepsiCo,
  • identify white space growth opportunities to drive penetration in terms of channels, innovation and potentially identify new, incremental spaces for growth,
  • Develop and validate a pipeline of New Product Development and brand plans to fulfil the growth ambitions, partnering with BU marketing/ customer teams,
  • Deliver nuts AOP calendar and ensure the best in class execution of key brand programs to drive the growth targets for the nuts business,
  • Collaborate with the BUs and key functional stakeholders to proactively drive synergies in plans to minimize complexity,
  • Create a sustainable and affordable support model for the nuts brands,
  • Strive for ways of improving nuts profitability – put in place a playbook for levers to consider,
  • Actively support BU teams in identifying new channel opportunities.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Excellent functional Marketing experience (8-10 years), specifically in developing & embedding brand positioning, creation of successful advertising & 360 campaigns,
  • Strong commercial mindset and understanding on how to land our calendar successfully in-store to drive growth,
  • Ideally experience of developing & qualifying Innovation, especially in the realm of nuts category,
  • Excellent collaboration & influencing skills that can navigate a West Europe category project across functions & a geographical matrix,
  • Good evidence of ability to set the agenda, specifically:
    • Balancing competing priorities
    • Effectively filters through & identifies the best ideas to pursue
    • Bias for action and proactive drive for results
  • Ability to Motivate & Inspire Others, specifically:
    • Inspires passion & excitement around shared goals and values
    • Empowers others to act & think in ways that will get the job done
    • Commercial skills of understanding basic channel/ retailer strategies
  • Ability to both envision the future & get practical in the commercial detail of NPD
  • Strong project management skills, evidenced through key X-functional brand projects
  • Good ability to navigate brand P&L & develop a commercial case
  • Strong capability in understanding consumer insight & generating ideas
  • Some experience of key Innovation skills:
    • Strong consumer understanding, ability to uncover insights that deliver against unmet consumer needs
    • FEI process & Idea pipeline development
    • Concept, Product & Pack development & qualification
    • Building Capex commercial rationale/ recommendations if needed
    • Agile management of stage gate process
  • Great collaborator and at ease with working across different markets, functions and levels of seniority
  • Intuitive about great ideas & ability to assess big from small, and drive them through the organisation
  • Passion for keeping on-top of the changing trends in the market, maintaining the external lens in a category we have still small share
  • Ability to both envision the future, & get practical in the commercial detail of NPD
  • Resilience to deal with the inevitable knock-backs
  • Comfortable with a level of ambiguity – and setting the agenda constantly in order not to lose momentum
