What you'll do:

As a Contract Manufacturing Manager you will be responsible for selection, development, and management of 12 Co-manufacturers located in Mexico, mainly to support Confectionary and Cookies & Crackers businesses. You'll drive sourcing strategy for Mexico in order to have all co-manufacturers reaching our requirements, through Stage Gate and Regional Business.

Roles & Responsibilities May Include:

  • You will act as the key contact point between all co-manufacturers in Mexico.
  • Be the PepsiCo agent all business issues related to Co-manufacturers and act as an “account manager” to co-manufacturer ensuring all relevant internal partners are aligned (Supply Chain, Finance, QC, R&D, Procurement, Legal, etc.) for contracts executed by Contract Manufacturing.
  • Constant search, evaluation and selection of potential co-manufacturers through industrial knowledge.
  • You'll develop best in class contracts with all Co-Manufacturers via the support of local Legal team.
  • Conduct periodically business reviews to measure overall Co-Manufacturers business performance using Balance Scorecard.
  • Work with Local and Regional Categories teams to figure out future needs in terms of installed capacity and adopt appropriate contract manufacturing requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all aspects of Quality & Food Safety for products manufactured in Co-Manufacturers.
  • You will be in charge of negotiating capacity and fill rate with co-man according to sales and supply chain requirements.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor in Engineering: Industrial, Chemical, Food - MBA Preferred
  • 5+ years additional experience in Plant Management, Finance/Business or Systems Quality Assurance & Food Safety
  • Knowledge of Food Production Processes, Sales-Forecast Projections, Supply Chain involvement in new product development, Logistics, Customs.

Skills:

  • Personal relationships skills due to a large number of intern customers and co-manufacturers
  • Ability to define business problems and frameworks, and discern what is meaningful.
  • You have to be goal-oriented and analytical
  • Ambitious, high energy individual who can easily function in a high demand environment
  • Robust and proofed negotiation skills
