R&D FSQA Engineer, SSA

FSQA lead accountable for end-to-end FSQA support for SSA across the Categories and deliver timely results and providing solutions to local Suppliers, 3PM, M&A, TSG, etc. challenges in that Region to deliver business needs. [Decision Making + Execution]
Working in partnership with FSQA and Regulatory SMEs to provide practical and sustainable implementation of PEP food safety and quality requirement in the SSA region. [Consultation + Execution]
Conduct and document Food Safety Hazard Assessments and create the HACCP Transfer Document during the development process of new products. [Execution]
Assemble SMEs and lead in development of Project FS qualification requirements [Decision Making + Execution]
Support the Manager to ensure the ingredient safety plan (especially for sensitive ingredients) is current and effective. [Execution]
Ensure appropriate control measures are in place for microbiological, physical and chemical control requirements for food safety and immediate corrective actions are taken where deviations occur. [Decision Making, Consultation and Execution].
Lead in developing risk-mitigating strategies along with other groups (Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, R&D) to properly manage resources in addressing critical food safety issues [Consultation]
Provide Quality Deployment support for all Snacks and Nutrition projects to ensure successful development and commercialization. [Decision Making & Execution]
Collaborate with business partners to ensure seamless quality execution of all new product, process and packaging innovations throughout the development and commercialization phases. [Decision Making + Execution].
Ensure the 3PM standards are applied from selection to commercial production. [Decision Making + Execution]
Establish the verification process to ensure the ongoing sustainability of the 3PMs to meet the requirements. [Decision Making + Execution]
A Bachelors degree in the Sciences or equivalent, advanced degree preferred.
A minimum 8-10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety Assurance, Quality/Food Safety Control, Quality Engineering, New Product Development, Manufacturing, R&D/Technical and/or related and equivalent experience.
Demonstrated leadership in Quality Assurance, Food Safety Assurance, Quality/Food Safety Control, Quality Engineering, New Product Development, Manufacturing and/or R&D/Technical positions requiring successful interface with all these disciplines.
