Job Description

The Creative Director for User Centric Design defines the strategic designs for FLNA Go-to-Market future selling experience. They will integrate Consumer Experience, Product Designs, and Digital Solutions to create an integrated experience to delight our consumers. This role will lead a team comprising of employees and contractors to engage HQ and field stakeholders to deliver user-centric sales and service solutions loved by all.

Define the UCD/UX mission, vision, strategy and roadmap

  • Lead User-Centric Design Senior Strategists to develop the experience vision based on the insights gather from the field user engagement
  • Set design vision with integration across Marketing, Design Center, Sales, and Supply Chain
  • Collaborate to define and communicate a clear UX mission, vision and strategy
  • Partner with UX Director, Agile Teams, IT, and external partners to incorporate the designs into production
  • Influence and align design vision across multiple functions and divisions (FLNA, Global Groups, eComm, external partners)
Implement the UCD/UX strategy using various tactics
  • Plan, conduct and synthesize research using standard methodologies and tools (e.g. surveys, contextual observation, interviews, focus groups, affinity maps, personas, archetypes, empathy maps, experience briefs, etc.)
  • Analyze data, generate themes, build insights and develop ideas
  • Prioritize ideas using techniques like the Kano model
  • Visualize ideas using low fidelity to high fidelity techniques. Ex: post it notes, sketches, story boards, wireframes, mockups, prototypes
  • Drive an integrated agile and UCD/UX governance process by interacting with product management and product development teams to ensure design tradeoffs are being discussed and documented
  • Ensure development teams practice UI consistency by leveraging a style guide and a shared component library
  • Balance UI best practices, aesthetics and user research with data and analytics when making design decisions
  • Responsible for building UX Design capability
Continuously improve and take others along
  • Drive progressive thinking and the pushing of boundaries
  • Lead UCD/UX education training program

Qualifications/Requirements

  • B.A. Design or relevant discipline
  • 10+ years of relevant experience (Design Thinking/User Centered Design)
  • Expert in Sketch, Invision and/or Axure, Full Adobe Creative Suite, Omnigraffle, MS Office tools, HTML and CSS
  • Experience moving to ReactJS environment
  • Demonstrated success leading UX opportunities from concept to successful launch/implementation
  • Experience partnering and delivering with cross functional and divisional groups including Sales, eCommerce, Marketing, Technology, Members and Executives
  • Skills in building teams, goal setting, coaching and developing individuals to achieve targeted results
  • Must have a portfolio with your work - sketch/wireframes/mock-ups, Journey Maps, Research & Insights, and Brand Identity concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree
  • CPG industry experience
  • UI/UX experience
  • Lean 6 Sigma certified
  • SAFe Agilist certified
  • Project Management experience
