Job Description

Act as Sarbanes Oxley (Sox) sub-Control Owner:

  • Support Inventory Control Manager to ensure adherence to all WMS/Sox policies and procedures related to inventory
  • Perform activities and reporting related to Excess and Obsolete Inventory
  • Support Cycle Counting process to ensure system compliance

Inventory Responsibilities:
  • Proactively monitor product that is approaching warehouse life. Work with supply chain to effectively move product and eliminate the possible loss of revenue
  • Function as the liaison with the Customer Service Team and local operations to assure that effective demand planning for display and promotional activity is completed so inventory can be pushed to the Cedar Rapids Service Center
  • Participate in weekly Foods OFR conference call and communicate to the Customer Service Team new products, discontinuances, and other issues related to inventory
  • Communication with the warehouse manager and third party facility manager on the planning of upcoming customer promotions
  • Manage facility freshness initiatives
  • Research inventory discrepancies, lost product, and shortages
  • Ensure appropriate activation and de-activation of UPC’s in the distribution control system
  • Perform all needed activities related to Quality Holds for the Cedar Rapids Service Center and help manage hold product from Cedar Rapids Plant
  • Act as backup for Inventory Control Manager and Inventory Coordinator for balancing, quality holds, freight claims, research requests, Reverse Logistics, and daily tasks
  • Perform ABC velocity analysis quarterly and update WMS accordingly
  • Support Inventory Control Team initiatives around aging inventory
  • Offer, enter, and monitor GMR orders
  • Assist with period end duties
  • Site LSS resource as trained and qualified
  • All other duties as assigned


  • 1-2 years of Supply Chain related experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • 1-2 years of Analytical Experience
  • Knowledge of LSS and WMS preferred
