Job Description

Food for Good is an innovative new partnership between PepsiCo, local food distributors, local nonprofit organizations and the government to deliver healthy meals to children who depend on receiving breakfast and lunch at school. The success of this program depends on our field staff who lead the daily operations. The Operations Supervisor leads all of Food for Good’s daily meal packing and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Supervise the meal packing and warehouse staff to ensure efficient inventory management with minimal waste (executing actions)
  2. Deliver operational efficiencies including packing/warehouse labor and meal costs (executing actions)
  3. Support supervision of delivery drivers (split daily shift with City Lead) (providing consultation)
  4. Support the daily interaction with nonprofit partners including customer service and orders (providing consultation)
  5. Supporting hiring of packing and warehouse staff (providing consultation)
  6. Ensure meal packing and warehouse staff are following all policies and procedures (providing consultation)
  7. Manage final daily inventory and document any discrepancies with meal count in the system (executing actions)
  8. Report daily numbers, stories, and issues to the City Lead (executing actions)

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven track record leading a large warehouse and delivery driver staff
  • Track record of delivering exceptional customer service
  • Experience managing suppliers and inventory accurately and with minimal waste
  • Experience with basic facilities management
  • Preferred to have a Class B license or higher (e.g., Class A, CDL)
  • Strong relational, collaborative, and communication skills
  • Willingness to embrace ambiguity and a dynamic environment
  • Positive, highly-motivated, problem-solving attitude
  • Detail orientation
  • Effective time management and strong prioritization skills
  • Willingness to accommodate a flexible schedule that varies with seasonal duties
  • Functional PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
