Job Description

As part of Execution Excellence team, this role facilitates Nutrition group capability, across all technologies (Dairy, Fruit &Vegetables, Grains and Sports Nutrition) to increase agility and speed to market through PD processes optimization. Specifically, He or She will be responsible to scope and execute projects that will deliver more efficiency and agility in E2E PD processes. This role will need to scope and critical plan areas of improvement and work with manager to influence stakeholders to execute across regions and technologies.

A key objective of this role, is to coordinate work within the new dedicated PD specs teams and to find areas to further streamline specification processes, while complying with PepsiCo standards. He or She will provide project management leadership and problem-solving for cross categories, regions within R&D functions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate efforts among new specs teams to define priorities and lead best practices implementations that drive significant increase of speed to market
  • Create internal mechanisms that enable agility and define metrics to measure success
  • Support specs teams to:
    • Deliver ingredient specifications flawlessly for Innovation, TBS and Productivity projects in accordance with sector’s needs, and in partnership with GFGC
    • Develop and execute training for new spec writers within the different locations
    • Identify, analyze, and implement local process improvements
    • Design and implement documentation and tracking tools
    • Facilitate data gathering and provide analytical support
    • Build comprehensive reports for sector leadership
  • Support managing budget related activities by continuously assessing teams’ performance and proposing adjustments accordingly
  • Build strong foundations to achieve speed to market aspirations through core PD processes
  • Partner with GFGC to identify and lead complex, cross-functional projects and programs to generate sustainable simplifications of specification processes, as well as other related PD processes, to drive agility within PD Nutrition organization
  • Clearly communicate project status, risks, and scope updates to all stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Develop sustained partnerships and networks across R&D functions, geographies and Categories (Snacks and Beverages) to enable implementation of projects and programs

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree: Chemical, Industrial, Food Engineering, or related
    • B.S. with at least 4 Years of Experience
    • M.S. with at least 2 Years of Experience
    • PhD with 0 Years of Experience
  • Experience in product development / innovation process within Manufacturing and Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment is preferred
  • Experience in specification management, ingredients science, or technical documentation management is a must
  • Demonstrate good understanding of Food Safety, Microbiology and Regulatory Affairs
  • Ability to define and lead programs and direct/motivate project teams
  • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented – ability to interpret data and distil into useful and relevant information
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels and all functions in the organisation
  • Ability to prioritize team workload against demand of multiple customers and projects
  • Excellent computer literacy/ experience with proven ability to learn new systems
  • Demonstrated ability to function effectively in stressful, fast-paced situations, with the personal leadership to influence and positively motivate self and peers
  • Experience in project management and PM tools (FMEA, RASCI, Microsoft Project, Stage Gate, etc.)
  • Project Management Professional Certified (PMP) or Six Sigma knowledge/experience is a plus
  • Multi-lingual skills or multi-cultural experience is a plus
