•Leading & facilitating root cause analysis activities and development of engineering solutions for repetitive failures.
•Integrate maintenance best practice (e.g. RCM) protocols to systematically define asset maintenance plans.
•Continuously review MTBF & MTTR performance indices to improve equipment reliability and availability.
•Regularly update and report on equipment reliability performance indicators
•Ensure that all statutory (OHS, MESS, SANS) equipment maintenance requirements are scheduled and executed within the appropriate time frames.
•Keep records of statutory equipment repairs, calibration, and parts replacements.
•Manage machinery/equipment modifications in line with management of change process (MOC) requirements.
•Receive and Process any Daily Maintenance & Repair requests and requirements.
•Maintain Equipment Information and repair programs on SAP Maintenance and Inventory Management.
•Train engineering personnel on the use of SAP Maintenance and Inventory Management.
•Participate in plant safety, health and environmental programmes.
•Manage the performance and development of the Engineering Storeman.
•Ensure engineering stores management in line with COSO audit requirements
•Develop & report on monthly KPI's reports: e.g. Budget, Stock Rotation, and Parts Used. Compile plant and equipment performance Reports, Graphs and Presentations.
•Qualified Artisan with National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical)
•Minimum 3 years maintenance experience and 3 years experience as a Planner in the FMCG environment
•Minimum of two (2) years’ experience on a CMMS
•Exposure to business planning/budgeting advantageous.
•Completion of an Engineering Planning course will be an advantage
•Experience at a supervisory level will serve as an added advantage.
•Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office and maintenance software
•Knowledge of the OHS Act (safety legislation) is essential
