PepsiCo is looking for a Standard Works Specialist to join our busy manufacturing site in Lincoln.

Our factory in Lincoln is famous for production of tasty snack brands such as Quavers and Snaps. It’s been part of the PepsiCo family for nearly 80 years and is the Lean reference site for Snacks production in Europe. The site went through a major upgrade in 2013 and is now home to our state of the art ‘packaging hall of the future’, making it the perfect setting for a passionate, experienced specialist to come in and help drive our long term sustainability.

What you'll get up to as a Standard Works Specialist:

  • Have a collaborative approach with the wider team to advance Physical Standards and Standard Work at site
  • Be the site expert for Physical Standards and Standard Work elements ensuring capability build during roll out
  • Be the lead for the “maintaining the standard” pillar championing the use of 5 Whys and Gemba
  • Coach LEAN principles to all levels of the organisation from frontline to Site Director
  • Provide periodic reviews of maturity status
  • Implement a sustainable Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale (QCDM) escalation process
  • Coach the daily and 4 hourly meetings where required
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving sessions to ensure root causes are captured
  • Deliver improvement projects through QCDM process utilising LSS/ DMAIC approach achieving Green Belt savings year on year
  • Work with the MOS team to establish the critical X’s as an enabler for Physical Standards and Standard Work


What we're looking for:

  • Knowledge and experience of LEAN tools and methodology (VSM, Spaghetti Diagram, TIMWOOD, Zoning, 5S, Visual Management)
  • Certified to LSS Green Belt (Desirable)
  • Logical, organised and with demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Trained to basic coach level
  • Able to motivate and inspire the site teams to engage with the productivity agenda
  • A great communicator that can influence at all levels and keeps stakeholders fully informed
  • Demonstrated experience in Lean program development
  • Advanced Facilitator (Desirable)
  • Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork
