The Sr. Manager, Global Supply Chain Operations is part of the Digital Value Chain team responsible for developing and deploying new productivity and growth solutions that will digitally transform PepsiCo’s Supply Chain Operations. The role will drive the advanced analytics strategy for Global Supply Chain Operations by closely partnering with the Information Technology and Sector Supply Chain teams, benchmarking externally and leveraging technology solution providers to identify scalable analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions and translate them into business value.


Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop strategic direction and operation processes for the Analytics teams across multiple supply chain business and IT teams
  • Assess opportunities and promote use of Big Data and advanced analytics across PepsiCo’s global supply chain
  • Build internal and external resources and expertise to support robust advanced analytics agenda
  • Build support and infrastructure for use in Sectors and the Digital Value Chain (DVC) program
  • Provide analytical and project support to Sectors and the DVC program by leading a team of Data Scientists (including matrix management responsibilities)
  • Formulate and define scope and objectives based on both business needs and a thorough understanding of business processes
  • Advance PepsiCo’s analytics maturity to move beyond descriptive and predictive analytics and into prescriptive and fully automated/algorithmic capabilities
  • Influence the strategic and/or long-term focus for the Sector Supply Chain teams to accelerate delivery of business value
  • Collaborates or participates with other analytical leaders in driving, enterprise-wide, the strategic direction
  • Understand the business implications of digital solutions and provide directions in defining the solutions to support any future business requirements
  • Approve and prioritize Analytics projects and activities within the DVC Strategic Roadmap
  • Guided by long term objective and business requirements - analyze long-term impact of new or anticipated strategies and decisions
  • Establish advanced analytics support and infrastructure (expertise, tools, techniques, process standard, etc.) across the Supply Chain organization
  • Approve solution design and implementation milestones for Advanced Analytics projects

Qualifications/Requirements

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Statistics, Data Management, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred)


Work Experience:

  • 10+ years project leadership or management experience with a proven track record of planning and managing numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously
  • 10+ years experience working on business transformation projects, supporting technology and business process change
  • Experience in a predictive and decision support analytic function
  • Direct or indirect people management experience that includes mentoring and providing leadership to others to work together to deliver a challenging agenda in an high-paced work environment
  • Proven track record of using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts: increasing revenue and market share, improving service, reducing cost and other key business outcomes
  • Knowledge of CPG industry, experience working across various geographies globally that are at varying levels of technology and analytics maturity preferred
Skills and Capabilities:
  • Adept at using big data to solve business problems
  • Mix of robust business understanding, architecture knowledge and advanced analytical techniques understanding
  • Understanding of using various machine learning, artificial intelligence, reliability and statistical technologies and methods
  • Understanding of big data and data visualization tool and how to apply them across Supply Chain functions
  • Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrix organization and indirectly influence peers and partners across the organization through vision, connection and collaboration
  • Excellent oral and written skills to effectively communicate ideas, processes, status and provide clear documentation to the management and executive leadership
  • Ability to be flexible within a fast-moving work environment and juggle multiple priorities at the same time
  • Ability to lead teams to solve abstract problems without precedent – diagnose and resolve ambiguous problems
  • Ability to enter new territory, push the envelope in terms of demonstrating analytics capabilities and making them work for PepsiCo
