Job Description

The role is designed as the lead project manager (PM) to drive the roadmap for ESSA’s NRM Analytics Hub expansion – an automated online Tableau based platform providing both sector and BU NRM teams with on demand NRM insights to shape strategies and monitor performance.
The role will focus on:
Defining and delivering the expansion ambitions of the current NRM Analytics hub with a 2-3-year technical roadmap
Collaborating closely with IT and technical teams to build new dashboards
Building and liaising with a superuser community to test, validate and get feedback on new features
Being the figurehead for the platform across the ESSA NRM function.
The role will also require the ability to collaborate with analogous automation projects across the ESSA business to leverage readily available or soon to be launched functionality elsewhere in the business (e.g. PPD, BU Cockpit & mosaic data, TPM)
The role, based in the ESSA NRM Centre of Excellence will focus on:
Define and execute roadmap for NRM Analytics Hub (2019-2021)
Define priorities and phasing of expanding NRM Analytics Hub: Scaling proof of concepts to date, developing new dashboards identified in ESSA’s vision roadmap (“MVP”)
Lay out options on delivery models and resources required (budgets, IT support), working in conjunction with IT
Define delivery model for both scale solutions and specific local demands (e.g. RU/ TU specific automation priorities)
Support NRM Transformation Director to lock down clearly identified resources (budget, talent) required for execution
o Sector vs IT vs local NRM user support vs outsourced resources
PMO leadership on automation projects
Be the business project lead for dashboards and NRM Analytics Hub functionality projects in development
Steer weekly cadence of meetings with IT team and defined project support (local/ ESSA NRM superusers etc)
Lead decision making to clear operational roadblocks on projects, escalate to NRM Transformation Director as required
Provide or direct technical teams to validate NRM calculations being codified
Set out clear testing and validation plans – calculation accuracy and user experience
Launch new functionality to ESSA NRM group as roadmap phases are complete
Provide monthly updates to NRM leadership on NRM Analytics Hub roadmap progress
Present on NRM webinars to NRM community on Analytics Hub as required (with NRM Transformation Director)
Training Support to BUs
Lead webinars and training sessions on new functionality added to NRM Analytics Hub
Take on feedback from user group on new functionality, feed into roadmap iteration – prioritise actions appropriately
User experience leadership
Ensure NRM Analytics Hub roadmap has well defined user experience projects as well as functional dashboard expansion
Measure NRM analytics hub adoption, identify low adoption elements and root causes
Adjust technical roadmap to overcome critical UI issues (performance, navigation, clarity, detail, local customisation etc).
Upgrade best practise with NRM Analytics Hub
Liaise with NRM Capability Manager to update best practises 1-2x/ year leveraging insights from new functionality from NRM Analytics Hub
Integrate with other automation platforms
Work effectively across the PepsiCo matrix to leverage and cross-share automation developments on analogous platforms: PPD (ESSA Insights), BU Cockpit (ESSA Finance)
o Influence new dashboard designs elsewhere to meet NRM needs, link relevant dashboards into Analytics HUB with appropriate across-function approval and support
NRM lead on collaboration projects e.g. BU cockpit based NRM dashboards
Liaise closely with NRM Transformation Director to identify upstream transformation projects that can unlock advanced NRM Analytics Hub capabilities (e.g. enriched execution EPOS data from Trax POCs, TPM data from next gen TPM systems) – input into requirements for NRM Analytics Hub
ESSA Automation Champion
Proactively liaise with both LATAM and AMENA colleagues to cross-share developments on respective NRM automation agendas
Identify areas of leverage (lift/ shift) for ESSA, to be built into the ESSA roadmap
Support LATAM/ AMENA to leverage leading best practice from ESSA as necessary

Qualifications/Requirements

Experience Required
Strong academic background
3+ years data analytics or finance/ technical PMO experience with high-performance track record
o Top-tier consultancy, ‘Big 4’ consultancy arm, retail data analytic firms (Nielsen, IRI, Kantar, Dunhummby) - desirable in revenue management or CPG
o Technical/ financial consultancy or PMO background (Accenture, IBM or equivalent in sector)
High level of analytical skills (especially strong Excel modelling) and strong attention to detail and ability to navigate complex calculations (within modelling)
Experience working with multiple external data sources (Nielsen/IRI, Kantar/GfK etc)
Experience of presenting complex business cases in senior forums
Intellectual curiosity and ability to search out facts without prior process/guidance.
Strong inter-personal/communication skills to win support from local and sector stakeholders and collaborators
Good collaborator and influencer – experience working cross-functionally and/ or in virtual teams
Well-organised, self-sufficient and proactive - able to prioritise many competing priorities and clearly communicate into the business
Commercial instinct to understand key business drivers in order to prioritise roadmap accordingly
Strong strategic and problem-solving skills
Can-do, flexible attitude with resilience– able to respond to rapidly changing and often urgent priorities

Quantitative degree (Maths/ Science)
Working with senior management
Travel/ Location
May require ad-hoc travel to development hub in Madrid/ Spain (2-3 times a year), with preference for virtual ways of working
