Frito Lay is PepsiCo’s snack manufacturing, sales and distribution operating unit. They have the world’s largest portfolio of billion dollar foods and are specifically responsible for the growth of some of America’s favorite snack foods, including FRITOS®, LAY’S®, DORITOS®, CHEETOS®, AND TOSTITOS®.

Your Responsibilities:

The FLNA Sales Technologies team delivers industry leading business processes and technology solutions to over 30,000 FLNA employees. The solutions will deliver transformative sales and leading capabilities to desktop and mobile users for the purpose of improving growth, productivity and user engagement.
The Product Owner (PO) is the content authority for the agile team level. They are responsible for the team backlog, defining, prioritizing and accepting stories, and representing the customer/end user to the agile team. The PO streamlines the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the product features or components for the team. The PO has a significant role in quality control and is the only team member empowered to accept stories as done. This role has significant relationships and responsibilities outside the local team, including working with Product Management.

Program Execution:

  • Partner with the Product Manager (PM) to identify opportunities for product enhancements and help define the short-term and long-term product roadmap, including the customer/end user experience map and features
  • Review and contribute to the program vision, roadmap, and content presentations
  • Partner with the PM in program backlog refinement
  • Provide oversight and Produce the System Demo for program and value stream stakeholders
  • Engage in the preparation and participation of 10 week planning cycle (e.g. Program Increment (PI)) planning
  • Draft and Define the team’s specific objectives for the upcoming 10 week planning cycle

Team Execution:
  • Engages with key members to create stories / Works across scrum teams to define and implement improvement stories that will increase the velocity and quality of the program
  • Communicate and partner with stakeholders to gather product requirements or request support, and summarize product decisions and rational
  • Foster and maintain key relationships throughout the organization in order to facilitate teamwork across departments
  • Maintain customer/end user needs and validate solutions
  • Improve user experiences through partnership with user experience (UX) strategist to assess tradeoffs and incorporate user experience designs in features while balancing short/long term needs

Iteration Execution:
  • Execute product enhancements through partnering with cross functional teams to manage product development deliverables, including authoring high-level features, slicing features into manageable user stories, story prioritization, and user acceptance testing
  • Build, edit and maintain the team backlog, with input form the System Architect/engineering and other stakeholders, by defining stories and providing the clarifications necessary to assist the team with their story estimates and sequencing
  • Prioritize backlog items based on user value, time and other team dependencies
  • Own the launch and release plans, collaborating with Product Manager and Sales leadership to ensure proper prioritization of product features
  • Lead iteration planning and backlog refinement sessions to ensure stories are detailed and ready to be developed, including coordination of inter-team and intra-team dependencies. Participate in team demo's and retrospectives
  • Accept user stories that have completed development and user acceptance testing

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) and/or Frito-Lay equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with at least 2+ years of technical or business analyst
  • Solid Project Management skills, balancing schedules, cost and timelines
  • Understanding of and experience working with web and mobile technology in the context of enterprise architecture and infrastructure
  • Experience with Lean-Agile principles, metrics, and technology and/or experience with Lean Thinking, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen Leader
  • Experience managing product development deliverables such as requirements gathering, user story writing, acceptance testing, and product launches
  • User-centric mindset and instinctual user empathy
  • Strict attention to detail, excellent organization skills, ability to balance numerous tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Positive attitude and a collaborative approach
  • Team player who is adaptable in a high-growth, rapidly changing environment; able to manage and influence others in a matrixed environment
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to create presentations and present to small groups
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adapt to change
  • Proficient in computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, SharePoint, etc.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States


Preferred:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience with at least 2+ years of technical or business analyst
  • Certified SAFe® Agilist (SA), SAFe® 4 Practitioner (SP), SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM)
  • 1+ years’ experience with User Centric Design and Agile Methodologies
  • 5+ years’ experience with FLNA, including Sales, Category or Sales IT functional experience
  • Software Testing experience
  • Software Development experience
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Solid Project Management skills, balancing schedules, cost and timelines
  • Ability to provide training and facilitation
