Job Description

Exciting position that has significant impact on both our employees and our Company by supervising the Workers’ Compensation claims management process for North American Beverages (NAB) field locations within a specified geography, as well as facilitating the transitional duty process when an employee is able to return-to-work. Work alongside third party administrator and seasoned claims team to ensure holistic, aggressive and cost effective action plans are developed and executed.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective strategy is developed and action plans executed for all workers’ compensation (WC) claims up to $100K incurred
  • Support regional WC Manager on claims greater than $100K incurred
  • Oversee transitional duty/return to work process with location supervisors
  • Coordinate and conduct WC claim reviews and audits
  • Coordinate support provided by claims adjusters, attorneys (internal and external) and Field (FCMs) and Telephonic Case Managers (TCMs)
  • Build capability within Safety organization and Business Partners (via onsite & webinar training sessions)Collaborate with medical providers; liaison with business supervisors on treatment plans and return to work initiatives
  • Liaison between Sedgwick, PepsiCo legal, HR and business leaders to resolve issues
  • OSHA record keeping oversight / monitoring

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Human Resources, Risk or Business preferred)
  • 5 -7 years workers compensation claims management experience with a carrier/TPA, broker or employer
  • Strong communicator- able to deliver a clear message to all levels of the organization
  • Strategic, analytical thinker and problem solver
  • Able to balance empathy and pragmatism
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to analyze information and make decisions based on available information
  • Nimble, flexible and adaptable to change
  • Able to build and sustain long term relationships with internal and external partners

  • Responsive and attentive to time constraints
  • Travel Requirement: up to 40%
