Job Description

This role plays a critical role in charting PepsiCo’s long term growth and portfolio development, driving both the future of the company and shaping the industry landscape. We are tasked with ensuring the company invests in the assets and capabilities needed to stay ahead of the competition and maintain market leadership. This entails developing actionable solutions for some of the most challenging issues facing the company, bringing fresh and disruptive thinking to the ever changing macro-environment.

  • Provide thought leadership to business partners and Senior Executives on a broad range of business-critical topics
  • Lead analytical workstreams, driving to fact-based insights with minimal oversight from project leaders
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and significant influence management skills, including the ability to challenge the status quo
  • Build “Executive ready” project deliverables
  • Assist in the planning and execution of the Enterprise Strategic Planning Process
  • Execute against time-sensitive requests from the EVP-Global Strategy, VP-Corporate Strategy, and cross-functional business partners
  • Maintain an external mindset, including staying on top of consumer, competitive, and macroeconomic / geopolitical trends
  • Indirect management responsibility for Analysts on project teams
  • Contribute to capability building for the entire Global Strategy function (e.g. Recruiting, Training, Knowledge Management, etc)

Qualifications/Requirements

  • BA required and MBA strongly preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
  • Bright, self-starting, innovative thinker who is passionate about consumer products
  • Structured logical thinker with ability to define problems and frameworks, demonstrate an understanding of key value drivers
  • Able to collaborate within teams
  • Able to complete complex analytical tasks with limited supervision
  • Intellectual curiosity – awareness of emerging trends and competitive activity in the sustainability space
  • Cultural sensitivity – Understand cultural and social differences in key markets and potential secondary markets with passion for understanding global differences
  • Comfort in ambiguity – Adaptability in less-structured environments (able to “jump in” and contribute even when facts are not yet 100% clear); ability to quickly figure out solutions to complex issues
  • Is persistent and resilient in the pursuit of objectives, can shift gears easily, is willing to take on new challenges and works to resolve issues
  • Can effectively communicate (verbal and written) with internal and external stakeholders across all levels
  • High attention to detail and focus on driving processes through successful execution
