Job Description

Main Purpose: Lead, develop, and support PLCI finance operations regarding carrier payments and customer invoicing/receivables through individual contributions and leadership of frontline finance coordinators (L03’s and L04’s). This role is responsible for leadership and execution of addressing issues with carrier payments, maintaining SOP’s and control processes, speaking with customers regarding past due payments, issuing comchecks, and ensuring payments are being made in a timely manner to carriers. The nature of the work is proactive and must be able to identify potential issues with paperwork, customer information, and payable/receivable information. In addition, will be responsible for full PMP execution of 10 to 15 entry level finance coordinators. Execution of period close tasks will be required which occur every weekend of week 4.

Scope: Total volume of approximately 15,000 invoices and $10MM per week in freight payables. 10 to 15 direct entry level reports.


  • Daily operations leadership to ensure team are meeting goals of processing average of 350+ invoices per day
  • Maintain 99+ credit score and average of 31 days to pay
  • Maintain less than 3% customer aging greater than 60 days
  • Ensure audit, SOP documentation, and control processes and tasks are executed seamlessly
  • Execute period close tasks and responsibilities
  • Customer escalation point – proactive resolution of
  • customer and carrier complaints and issues
  • Maintain favorable customer and carrier perception
  • Execute PepsiCo PMP for ten to fifteen direct reports
  • Ensure comchecks are issued promptly and following comcheck SOP process
  • Work with operations team to ensure minimal change requests and accurate billing information prior to load release into Epay
Scope of Interactions:
  • 30% External – New and existing customers
  • 70% Internal - Collaboration with business development, account management, operations, finance and leadership team


Key Skills / Experiences:

  • 3 Years Transportation Operations and/or Finance experience
