Job Description

The Supply Chain Analyst – Intern/Coop position contributes to the success of Pepsi Beverages Canada by providing direct support to the Manufacturing Leaders and Supervisors through leading the raw materials inventory and communication with frontline employees and suppliers.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for identifying the requirements of raw materials needed for the production facility and order accordingly
  • Working with raw materials suppliers in the following capacity:
    • Validate material forecast for the production facility
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships, acting as a main point of contact
  • Address any quality or service issues with the suppliers directly utilizing our accountability tools
  • Monitor damages at the warehouse . adjustments in the system, inform customer
  • Conducting daily and weekly reconciliation of all raw material ingredient usage
  • Optimize the inventory levels to meet the business’ supply and demand
  • Learn the business to understand the real time demand
  • Connecting with the frontline production teams to:
    • Monitor and communicate inventory levels and needs according to the daily production schedule
    • Run inventory reports on a daily basis
    • Receive direct feedback to communicate quality and service expectations up to suppliers
  • Complete APS transactions and all period end processes
  • Follow all GCS Global control standard requirements


Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Completion of High School Diploma
  • Bachelors’ Degree complete or in process (Supply Chain or Operations Management) preferred
  • Advanced capability in Microsoft Office for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong problem solving, adaptability, and organizational skills a must
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to gain alignment across multiple functions
  • Exceptional follow up and initiation ability
  • Knowledge of inventory control programs is preferred
