The CTO team delivers solutions leveraging leading-edge technologies in the areas of a) Big Data & advanced analytics using Teradata, HANA Enterprise, Hadoop, and Microsoft Azure Analytics, b) Artificial Intelligence (AI) using Machine Learning, Deep Learning, computer vision technologies for video, image, text, and voice analytics using programming languages such as R, python, Tensorflow, and GPU hardware for compute intensive applications, c) Internet of Things platforms (Cloud and Edge computing), d) Intelligent automation using RPA (UIPath), e) Augmented Reality using Apple ARkit and Android ARCore, f) Wearable devices & applications for hands free factory and warehouse operations, g) Blockchain for food safety and supply chain visibility, h) modern mobile application platforms, and i) modern infrastructure using hybrid multi-cloud environments and state-of-the-art collaboration and communication platforms. We are Seeking an Sr Infra Cloud Architect, Responsible for be leading and supporting technical teams to architect, build, and deploy cloud hosting solutions across public, private and hybrid cloud environments. Cloud Infrastructure Architects are responsible for designing, maintaining cloud services, network, and infrastructure security. Architects will work closely with application teams, project managers, engineers, and other functionsSr. Infrastructure Cloud Architect will be a member of the Global Infrastructure Architecture & Engineering organization. This resource will serve as a subject matter expert in the area of Cloud Infrastructure - Architecture and Engineering. The resource will provide thought leadership, provide technical oversight, and ensure that cloud hosting solutions will meet PepsiCo requirements. The Infrastructure Cloud Architect will work closely with the sector delivery leads, infrastructure engineers and SMEs, and IT engineers and architects. The recipient should demonstrate experience across key infrastructure domains including Network, Compute and Database, Cloud, IT Service Management, Communication/Collaboration and Security.) This role will be based in Hyderabad, India and will report to Global – Infra Architecture and Engineering Lead

Qualifications/Requirements

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Oversee cloud infrastructure design and develop detailed architecture models to host test, development, and production environments
  • Plan for system and application migration(s) to the cloud, adhering to the PepsiCo’s technical and business requirements
  • Develop and document technical designs for integration and implementation of new cloud applications and systems
  • Optimize cost of cloud solutions by identifying waste and automating cloud cost management
  • Lead the development of technical artifacts including Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), Detailed Technical Design, Security Architecture Plan, Services Description Document, etc.
  • Plan and develop support processes that adhere to best practices (ITIL)
  • Communicate effectively through strong written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Integrate with non-cloud technologies and third-party vendor products/services
  • Assess emerging technologies, stay abreast of industry trends, and give advice on investments prices versus performance
  • Experience with highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments

Key Competencies Required:
  • Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure architecture principles and methodologies
  • Experience with Servers, Infrastructure, Platform Sizing, Infrastructure Cost Reduction
  • Develop an advanced understanding of the various types of architectures and how they’re interconnected
  • Ensure the features, benefits, and architectural impact of cloud hosting services are understood and valued
  • Assist in developing the business cases for architectural solutions related to cloud hosting
  • Position the appropriate IT services for customers to consider when deploying a cloud hosting solution
  • Lead technical discussions, driving clarity of complex issues/requirements to build robust solutions
  • Develop advanced understanding of technological capabilities
  • Effectively highlight IT technological advantages and disadvantages from the customer’s perspective
  • Identify technical win strategies from a business and technology perspective

Key Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science and at least 10 years of technology consulting or other relevant industry experience
  • Prior professional experience in IT Strategy, IT Business Management, Cloud & Infrastructure, or Systems Engineering
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision and guidance
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
  • Migration Strategy: Advisory on Migration Disposition/Type (As-Is, Replsatform to IaaS, Refactor to PaaS/Cloud Native, etc.)
  • Compute: Infrastructure, Platform Sizing, Consolidation, Tiered and Virtualized Storage, Automated Provisioning, Rationalization, Infrastructure Cost Reduction, Thin Provisioning
  • Experience with Operating systems and Software: Upgrade Planning and Implementation, Clustering and Grid Computing, Linux-on-Mainframe
  • Experience with Open Source: Sizing and Performance Analyses, Selection and Implementation, Platform Design and Selection
  • Experience with Virtualization: Virtualization Server, Storage, Desktop, Network; Reducing Sprawl
  • Experience with Infrastructure-Based Processes: Monitoring, Capacity Planning, Facilities Management, Performance Tuning, Asset Management, Disaster Recovery, Data Center support
