The role of the R&D Nutrition Data & Reporting Associate Principal Scientist is to interpret our portfolio data in response to ad hoc requests on internal and external strategic questions. In addition, the successful candidate will establish strong partnerships with R&D and business colleagues to deliver insights based on their nutrition science expertise coupled with the portfolio level data collected across 26 markets.

To lead the analysis and reporting of PEP nutrition data of Top 26 markets against internal and external benchmarks:

  • Identify business related insights and opportunities based on portfolio analysis
  • Leverage nutrition sciences expertise to interpret analytics and anticipate further assessment
  • Ongoing assessment and prioritization of customer needs to ensure various stakeholders (e.g., R&D, sustainability office, finance, nutrition science, and regulatory affairs) have access to the required data to deliver against their objectives
  • Identify opportunities to integrate analytics into business processes (e.g., AOP, SBP, horizon scanning, etc.)
  • Development of standardized reports to satisfy most customer requirements
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in nutrition data collection to maximize analytical capabilities
  • Partner with nutrition data team to develop quality control processes
Collaborate with IT partners to optimize tools for analytics and reporting:
  • Participate into cross-functional projects with global R&D, IT, Finance, etc. to develop a systemized approach to nutrition data analytics & reporting
  • Establish optimized tools and processes to ensure greatest efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure ongoing business requirements and opportunities are escalated for future planning
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to drive efficiencies as well as ensure accurate and consistent reporting:
  • Maintain connections with key stakeholders to drive efficiency on reporting & analytics, ensure accurate assumptions, criteria and calculations as well as eliminate duplication of efforts
  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify/support proactive and adhoc analytics needs
  • Timely communication to key global stakeholders regarding analytical needs
  • Comfortable presenting analytical findings to all levels within the organization
  • Provide tool and process training as needed
  • Outstanding leadership, teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple project initiatives to meet business objectives in a demanding and changing environment
  • Strong ability to effectively manage in matrixed organizational structure and provide strong leadership to diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to provide thought leadership on both strategic and technical aspects and positively influence at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to lead/coach/mentor others


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in nutrition science, preferably within FMCG industry with leadership experience
  • Advanced degrees in nutrition science preferred (e.g., MSc., PhD)
  • External experience with nutrient profiling systems preferred
  • Proven leadership skills and people management skills
  • Experience of system administration/database management ideal
  • Experience managing large data sets with precision and attention to detail, interpreting findings
