Partner with cross functional team members to plan, track and implement short and long term Quality & Food Safety projects. Provide technical support to the field and SC team members for planning and deployment in each stage of the project. Develop technical knowledge and strength of Quality & Food Safety principles, processes and procedures.

  • Protect Pepsi-Cola Trademark and ensure product quality and safety.
  • Partner with R&D / Product Development / Quality Assurance / Food Safety / Engineering / Sales Operations / Brand Stewardship / Global Procurement / OEMs / Suppliers in each phase of a project to ensure SC Quality & Food Safety principles are fully integrated
  • Develop and design Quality & Food Safety principles in all projects
  • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with SC Quality leadership
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
  • Review the project schedule all team members that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
  • Determine the objectives and metrics upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
  • Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured
  • Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project
  • Develop programs and tools to effectively deploy project requirements
  • Coach and train plant personnel to develop leadership, technical competence and effectively utilize system tools.
  • Support the development of the Quality & Food Safety strategy for Pepsi bottlers.
  • Assess field capability and develop action plans to develop weaknesses and leverage strengths.
  • Work with colleagues to assess, develop and execute strategy for beverage sector standardization
  • Lead and support the NAB system based on subject matter expertise (SME)
  • Monitor, report and provide technical support across SC Quality platforms

Qualifications/Requirements

Education / Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Food Science or Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 10 years of food or beverage experience.
  • 5 years of experience in quality related functions and project management

Technical Skills and Certifications as Strong Assets:
  • Certified as Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • Certified Quality Auditor or Quality Manager.
Technical Skills Required:
  • Strong Project Management Skills
  • Strong Analytical Capability
  • Understands statistics and can coach statistical principles
  • Microbiology and sanitation background
  • Ability to lead and influence others
  • Understands GMP requirements
  • Deep technical knowledge of the beverage industry process
  • Towering strength and ability to use numbers and metrics, not opinions, to dive fact based changes
  • Computer literate in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
