Cashier Job Description:

  • Manage the day to day receipt of cash, coin and check from sales representatives, conventional and full service vending routes
  • Prepare bank deposits and update the cashiering systems (ESC, ERT, Cashpro, Excel-based reporting/tools)
  • Count and validate cash, coin and check deposits and process consolidated bank deposits daily
  • Update deposit log daily for reconciliation done on a period basis
  • Assist with General Ledger reconciliation, as needed
  • Oversee donation, free goods, and sampling requests process from start to finish
  • Ability to track over/short amounts in enterprise settlement console and communicate issues back to Driver/Sales Representatives or Delivery/Sales leadership
  • Daily follow-up with all functional teams that include issues pertaining to driver/sales representative over/shorts, Customer Respond and Recovery, donations/sampling, NSF, and bank adjustments
  • Pull previous end of day cashiering paperwork from the file room and submit to AR as requested
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and assignments
  • Administer specific applications/time bound processes to include specific tasks (ERT, ESC, Respond and Recover, Cashpro, GL Reporting)in an accurate and timely manner

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School diploma, Associates Degree preferred
  • 4+ years of administrative experience required
  • Maintain high level of integrity and professionalism on a daily basis
  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to work in ambiguity
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills with an ability to plan, prioritize, and execute
  • Candidate should be a self-starter, as well as a team player, who will work well among a diverse geographically located team
  • Must have proactive follow-up skills
  • Must display professional maturity and ability to support and interact with all levels of management
