Job Description
The Compliance and Ethics Sr. Manager, Brazil will be responsible for the development, fostering and performance of PepsiCo’s Compliance and Ethics program for PepsiCo’s food and beverage businesses in Brazil (~12,000 employees).
His/Her core responsibilities will be to promote, monitor and enforce the Global Code of Conduct. This includes leading Brazil’s Control Environment Council, implementing anti-corruption compliance programs, providing or managing all compliance training, maintaining third party due diligence programs, overseeing the Speak Up process, providing advice and counsel to the leadership team on compliance and ethics issues, identifying opportunities to strengthen the “compliance and ethics culture,” and identifying, responding to and remediating significant compliance risks (including issues related to government and commercial bribery, fraud and theft with a substantial financial impact, accounting irregularities, as well as legal, Code of Conduct and Values violations by PepsiCo executives.
Development, fostering and monitoring of Brazil compliance and ethics programs
Investigate or oversee investigation of all PSVs; ensure appropriate outcome, remediation and comply with all reporting obligations related to quarterly close process [impacts Control and HR teams]
Leading Region Control Environment Councils (include region President, CFO, Controller, CHRO and C & E team members) [impacts region/sector leadership teams]
Develop and maintain robust anti-corruption program that complies with U.S. and country laws, is integrated into business through standard processes, and is regularly monitored and audited ) [impacts region leadership teams, Legal and Control functions]
Oversee anti-corruption third-party due diligence program [impacts all functions with high-risk vendors/most functions]
Training: anti-bribery; Culture of Integrity, investigations skills ) [impacts HR and Control investigation partners]
Identification of potential legal and reputational risk through formal and ad-hoc risk assessments [limpacts leadership, Legal, Control]
Develop C & E awareness and communication activities to support high integrity performance
Provide advice and counsel to business partners on Code of Conduct and related policies
Oversee Speak Up program; ensure effectiveness
Identification of compliance opportunities though Speak Ups, assessments, employee surveys [impacts leadership, functional leaders, Control]
Development and tracking of remediation plans linked to investigations, assessments, or corporate audits [impacts leadership, Legal, Control.

Bachalor degree/MBA;
Attorney previous experience;
Fluency in written and spoken English required;
Compliance and ethics expertise and prior experience preferred;
Must be able to travel within Brazil as needed, and internationally (1 – 2 times a year);
Ability to manage competing priorities;
Ability to influence senior leaders;
Personal fortitude to push back on senior leaders and provide advice that is critical to compliance or business ethics, but may be viewed as a business barrier;
Strong strategic thinking, focus and organizational skills;
Strong written communication skills;
