We are in the process of recruiting our diverse and expert team and are now looking for a Sub Process Lead for the Record to Report value stream for Wave 1.

Based at Green Park, Reading, UK however regular travel (up to 70%) will be required across Europe

The Role

Reporting to the Record to Report (RTR) Value Stream Lead, this role will be a fundamental part of the project and will lead the deployment, business readiness and change management of the new harmonised Global processes and data for all Wave 1 markets

As the Indirect Tax lead, your role will be to ensure that the system and business processes are designed and implemented to allow accurate and timely recording and reporting of indirect taxation You will act as a Change Champion and Superuser, influencing and taking others with you and capturing change impacts, analyzing these and translating into actions to implement harmonized process and data within Wave 1 markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the implementation of harmonised data, system and processes for indirect taxes within the S/4 Hana solution for Wave 1 markets
  • Lead the collection, understanding, documentation and translation of VAT business requirements across OTC, PTP, RTR, into suitable business processes and VAT configuration/ solution, including data
  • Be the link between market’s users, IT development team and any third party regarding software functionality, throughout the project
  • Lead business readiness reviews for your process having gained a good understanding of the “as is” process in all Wave 1 markets
  • Ensure your process data acceleration work, preparation and transfer is complete and accurate for all Wave 1 markets across value streams
  • Lead change management in your process with all markets
  • Lead harmonised analytics for your process in each market
  • Super user activity including UAT (user acceptance testing)
  • After receiving “train the trainer” training and utilising pre-pared training material, train super users in all the Wave 1 markets in the new harmonised process and data
  • Responsible for 3 successful waves of “go lives” and hypercare for your process
  • Share best practises and learnings for benefit of future markets
  • Drive business benefits enablement, continuous improvement in key process areas and ongoing KPI management

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications/Knowledge/Expertise Required

  • Relevant accounting or tax qualification, e.g. ACA / CIMA / ACCA / ATA or equivalent, with significant experience in indirect tax

  • In depth knowledge of indirect tax in the EU, with relevant experience in large global FMCG company with complex go to market models and cross-border supply chains

  • Experience of SAP implementation and change management implementation

  • Appreciation for GDPR, data security, retention policies, schedule of authority and other compliance requirements to ensure “to be” process is compliant and monitoring is set up and will be effective.

  • Experience of working in a matrix environment, across markets in Europe preferred

  • Experience in ‘Agile’ project methodology (preferred)
