Job Title: Supply Chain Planning Associate Manager

Duties: Maintain and enhance the demand forecasting statistical models. Design, develop and publish metrics. Provide analysis and support to the demand planners in the field. Perform research & analytics on Demand Planning data & processes. Liaison with IT for weekly execution of forecasting processes and for continuous improvement of functional response projects. Improve the SAS forecasting solution through rigorous statistical analysis, incorporation of business insights and implementation of new and innovative ideas on the technological/statistical front using SAS on UNIX environment. Assist demand planners with statistical modeling questions and investigate and troubleshoot SAS statistical model behavior with large data streams. Communicate complex statistical analysis in nontechnical business language to demand planners and business leadership. Support the weekly execution of forecasting processes. Liaison with IT and other business functions to resolve operational issues. Generate weekly accuracy, bias and exception reports. Support ad-hoc analytical needs as needed by analyzing data using SAS, SQL and Trifacta and create visualizations in Tableau. Conduct deep-dive analysis projects to incorporate business insights into optimizing SAS forecasting parameters to improve forecast accuracy. Conduct research on data and processes to identify root causes of supply chain issues such as low products supply, low sales, irregular promotions effects, and seasonal changes in sales. Lead continuous improvement projects for improving forecasting solution by acting as forecasting solution Subject Matter Expert. Componentize work into IT requirements for Data Engineering and Data Science analytical modeling and visualization. Implement analytics modeling enhancements and coordinate with IT for successful delivery of the projects.

Qualifications/Requirements

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related role. Prior experience must include four (4) years of experience with: conducting research on data and processes to identify the cause of supply chain issues; managing vendors and support teams for projects involving technical implementation of supply chain tools and upgrading and supporting systems and software; and, translating business needs into IT requirements. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience with: performing statistical and predictive modeling using SAS for demand forecasting; using i2 demand forecasting software; programming with SAS on UNIX environment and UNIX scripting; programming with SQL on Teradata, DB2, Oracle, and SQL server; creating insights and visualization using Tableau; and, communicating complex statistical analysis in nontechnical business language.
