Job Description

The Finance Analyst on the Quaker Commercial Finance team partners with Sales Strategy, Sales Finance and FP&A to help ensure that the Business Unit delivers Net Revenue and Profit growth. The Finance Analyst provides overall support for period end close, forecast and insights into business performance drivers, pricing analysis, and prepares analysis to support sound investment decisions.

Responsibilities include:
  • Provide insight into customer and channel results, expected future performance, partnering with Sales Strategy and Sales Finance to understand potential risks/opportunities and recommended actions
  • Reporting and analysis, including period-end close reporting and forecast analysis
  • Evaluate potential trade investments, including customer-specific incremental funding requests
  • Ownership of the Commercial Finance Foods Planning forecast uploads and reporting process
  • Manage the Quaker Commercial Finance slotting budget
  • Support the BU forecast process through the development of detailed volume forecasts, leveraging inputs from Field Sales Finance and macro trends
  • Support pricing analysis to support pricing strategies to deliver profitable growth to the BU
  • Support reporting and analysis of retail performance and execution and potential impact on topline results
  • Supporting ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required (Finance or Business Administration preferred)
  • MBA or CPA is a plus
  • 5 + years of experience and practical exposure in some of the following areas: Financial Planning and Analysis, Sales Finance, evaluating business performance, Financial Accounting and Control. Functional finance experience is a plus (e.g. Brand, Operations, Procurement etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions and processes
  • Experience with forecasting and budgeting, financial modeling
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment and gain the cooperation of individuals across the organization
  • Results-oriented with ability to initiate and lead projects to completion
  • Innovative thinker with a focus on continuous process improvement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to quickly learn various in-house software applications
  • Aptitude to work with minimal supervision
