PepsiCo’s Corporate M&A team is responsible for generating, managing and executing mergers and acquisitions, minority investments, and strategic activities across all of PepsiCo’s business units. This fast-paced, collaborative team of M&A professionals focuses on the inorganic agenda of PepsiCo’s global beverage and snack product portfolio, making a direct impact on the company’s future success.

PepsiCo is seeking an experienced Corporate M&A professional for the role of Director. It is a rewarding opportunity for both personal and professional growth where you will have the unique opportunity to drive PepsiCo’s inorganic agenda, solve complex strategic problems, and work with global cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The Director will report to a Vice President while having direct interaction with the Head of Corporate M&A, as well as other senior company executives, and participate in all stages of executing strategic transactions for PepsiCo globally.

Accountabilities will include:

  • Lead cross-functional team to execute a wide range of mission-critical and strategic M&A transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, minority investments
  • Collaborate with Sectors / Business Units and Corporate senior executives to develop multi-year global M&A strategy/pipeline
  • Influence key decision-makers to align and advance on transactions and initiatives
  • Financial acumen as evidenced through comprehensive analytics tasks and projects
  • Cultivate and leverage external relationships
  • Develop and mentor the rest of the M&A team and build a strong talent bench for the Company

  • Highly experienced leading large cross-functional teams in a global, matrix organization
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multiple complex M&A projects in parallel
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to think big picture without losing sight to details
  • Skilful at building trust with and influencing senior-level stakeholders
  • Proven ability to hit the ground running and adapt to a new environment
  • Strong ability work collaboratively within teams across the organization

Qualifications/Requirements

Required skills and qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of post-MBA transaction execution experience either in corporate development / M&A department of a corporation, or an investment bank or similar financial services institution. Private equity experience also applicable
  • Experience in the execution of strategic alliances including, but not limited to, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and minority positions
  • Upward mobility to help PepsiCo build a world-class senior finance executive bench
  • Travel of up to 20%
  • Business-facing role based in Purchase, NY
Preferred skills and qualifications:
  • Food and/or beverage experience, as well as related consumer products background, is preferred, but the company will consider exceptional candidates with relevant skill sets from other industries
  • MBA from top Business School highly preferred
