The IT Global Development & Delivery (D&D) organization partners with our businesses and local IT Business Relationship Managers to build and deploy high value IT solutions that bring new business capabilities to life. D&D has 4 key functions:
  • Delivery: Deliver high quality projects, maximizing solution commonality and reusability across markets
  • Development: Lead the technical design, build, and quality assurance of all technical customizations and solution development landscapes
  • Planning & Testing Services: Deliver release planning, testing, and D&D processes / services / tools to enable delivery excellence and reduce risk to PepsiCo’s IT landscape
  • Enterprise First / Design Authority: Build a global digital foundation with harmonized business processes

We are seeking a SAP S4 & HANA Basis Analyst responsible for timely delivery of high-quality installation, configuration and maintenance of the Basis component of SAP systems. They will provide for system support for the SAP Global Template Enterprise First SAP S/4HANA deployment projects.. This will include the install and build of new SAP systems and clients on the HANA platform, application server installs, and system refresh and client copies. In addition, the SAP Systems Management Basis Analyst is expected to execute version updates, install support packs, conduct upgrades, execute backup/recovery, implement support packs, and enable new modules and functionalities. When appropriate, the analyst will provide necessary support for our project and cloud vendor partners and ensure strict adherence to PepsiCo’s change management processes. Finally, the SAP Systems Management Basis Analyst may be assigned to support efforts across multiple concurrent projects. The role will be based in Hyderabad, India.

Qualifications/Requirements

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Basis build efforts for SAP and S4/HANA systems supporting the Enterprise First SAP project (Executing Actions)
  • Responsible for Service Requests related to the Enterprise First SAP project systems (Executing Actions)
  • Responsible for coordinating amongst members of different teams to address and resolve any issues or problems (Executing Actions)
  • Responsible for solving complex application problems through research and technical detective work (Executing Actions)
  • Ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly (Being Informed)
  • Ability to adapt to changes in timelines and sequences (Executing Actions)
  • Provides Technical cut-over, Go-Live and Hypercare support (Executing Actions)
  • Able to work off hours when required to perform maintenance activities, as required (Executing Actions)
  • Responsibility for supporting and monitoring a project landscape and performing troubleshooting analysis (Executing Actions)
  • Maintains knowledge of advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques, solid analytical skills, experience in system administration/configuration, refresh/upgrade projects and enhancements (Executing Actions)
  • Proactively manages environment and helps ensure unplanned outages are reduced or eliminated by helping provide root cause for issues (Making Decisions / Executing Actions)

Key Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years in IT
  • Minimum 5 years SAP Basis Administration work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Computer Science or Information Systems is preferred
  • SAP Certificates are a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively across project teams
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on varying business requirements
  • Strong experience in at least two of the following SAP components:
    • SAP S/4HANA 1709, 1809
    • SAP Master Data Governance 9.1 for S/4HANA 1709
    • SAP Enterprise HANA
    • SAP Netweaver 7.5 Fiori Gateway
    • SAP Business Objects 4.2
    • SAP Data Services 4.2
    • SAP NetWeaver 7.5 Process Orchestration (PO)
    • SAP NetWeaver 7.5 Portal
    • SAP Solution Manager 7.2
    • SAP GRC 10.1 or 12.1 for HANA
  • Knowledge and experience in following tools, disciplines and processes are nice to have: SAP Solution Manager (7.2 preferred), SAP ChaRM, ITIL tools & processes, HP Service Manager, Mercury tools, CPG industry experience, project implementation
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Requires solid English communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation
