Job Description

PepsiCo Global Engineering is seeking a talented and self-motivated Automation Engineer to help create new as well as apply existing automation solutions that improves overall system efficiencies through the use of advanced technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience conceptualizing, developing, and evaluating electro-mechanical systems with a low cost mindset. This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Global Engineering. The purpose of the role is to provide leadership primarily for the identifying and implementing Manufacturing and Warehouse Automation projects and to enable investments focused on cost reduction across the entire COGs and P&L.

  • Develop, align and deliver automation business cases
  • Develop an approach to business cases that is comprehensive and includes all available impacts in all lines of the P&L and balance sheet
  • Ensure business cases includes impact for all relevant functions
  • Leverage “stacked wins” to enable a broader number of projects
  • Coordinate and align with other projects owners for “stack wins” projects
  • Partner with Global and Sector teams that automation scoping is aligned with the business case
  • Partner with sectors to write automation CARs that meet the required hurdle rates
  • Support the capex approval process to ensure alfgnment with all approvers
  • Develop business case templates for the sectors
  • Alignment of global and sector AOP and PSP



  • 15+ years of experience working in Supply Chain, including warehousing
  • In depth knowledge of financal accounting ledgers and economic models
  • Effectively integrate automation solutions and drive global adoption
  • Experience with driving global productivity initiatives, including interacting and engaging the field teams as key stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proven track record as change agent, with the ability to bring a sense of urgency for change to the business
  • Strong communication and influencing skills - Demonstrated experience communicating to senior levels
  • Willing to travel up to 30% of the time for both domestic and international 
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) and 10+ years of experience preferred
