Job Description

  • All responsibilities require work within SAP and direct contact with third-party co-packers
  • Position manages the daily and period-end accounting process for QFS co-packers, PCNA BIB sites, and certain QTG DC's
  • Responsible for reconciling inventory, invoice payment, product costing, execution of close tasks, variance explanation, AOP, and special projects as assigned
  • Work closely with Industry Managers on results and issues pertaining to co-packers
  • Assists with forecasting variances during period budget updates
  • Play a supporting role in the tracking, analysis, and understanding of fixed costs development
  • Assist in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Period Business Reviews
  • Develop bill of material standards, product costing, and period costs for AOP and explain year over year cause of changes
  • Control owner for Sarbanes Oxley and Accounting controls
  • Completion of Accounting Self-Assessment Guides
  • Drive relevancy and efficiency in reporting and analysis processes
  • Troubleshoot co-pack related business and system-related issues as they arise
  • Additional duties may include special projects as they arise

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 0-2 years relevant work experience (internship experience for new college graduates preferred)
  • PepsiCo accounting experience and SAP experience preferred but not necessary
  • Sound fundamental accounting skills required for account reconciliations and journal entry preparation
  • Working knowledge of Cost Accounting
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multitask priorities to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong organization and documentation skills
  • Positive team player
  • Be flexible and able to react with urgency
  • Proficient in SAP and Excel (and other Microsoft products)
  • Ability to interact with varying levels of individual across multiple functions
  • Capable of demonstrating professionalism when dealing with conflict, changing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Results oriented and ability to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner while managing competing priorities
  • Self-starter who can independently work on various ad hoc
