We’re looking for a high performing Business Relationship Manager to join our IT Team based in Green Park, Reading. The post holder will manage client relationships and all aspects of technology delivery and support for the UK&I supporting/enabling functions. This includes overall responsibility for IT delivery and budgets, agreement of funding source, and timing of delivery for projects/programs to drive business value.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with business partners and ensures business and IT strategies/plans are aligned
  • Identify opportunities for IT to enable business growth and productivity
  • Represent IT in relevant cross-functional business forums and steering committees
  • Build strong relationships with IT delivery and support teams and external technology vendors
  • Manage Service Level Agreement (SLA) negotiations to ensure optimum service / cost is achieved
  • Drive pre-project business solution selection through engagement with Solutions and Architecture teams
  • Manage the input into PSP/AOP processes for projects <$50M budget
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis of new business initiatives in the area of responsibility
  • Bring industry relevant digital innovation to business thinking, infuse digital technology to all aspects of back office capability development.
  • Value planning and realization: ensure winning business case is present for IT initiatives. Partner with customer groups and cross-functional teams to develop value management plan in project proposals, ensure value realization plans during projects, and help business to monitor value realization post implementation.
  • Quality of business partnership and client satisfaction with overall IT service delivery, time-to-market, and cost efficiency.
  • As a member of the UK&I IT leadership team, contribute to overall organizational health and talent management and lead initiatives which are part of the department’s agenda. Support BRM Director in all aspect of practice management, including financial planning, cost optimization, succession planning, talent development, team activities.

  • Relevant and adequate education credentials, IT management, and CPG industry experience. Significant IT general management experience, backed by in-depth experience in key IT disciplines, such as in enterprise systems end-to-end delivery, consulting practice or business development leadership, transformation or operational leadership experience.
  • Subject matter expertise in the areas of functional responsibilities.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to develop teams and cultivate talent.
  • Broad and deep experience in PepsiCo finance, human resources and back office operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good presentation skills and comfortable in front of senior audiences.
  • Proven leadership track record; able to influence and “lead without authority” in complex settings. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment.
  • Understands the IT and Finance industry, e.g. new technologies and trends, industry standards, solution architecture, and the vendor landscape. Insights into digital advancement in consumer product and other industries. Examples: predictive/prescriptive analytics, RPA, AI, etc.
  • Experience in formulating and managing large IT enabled transformation programs with a track record of success, including hands on large scale project management, leadership role in applying project methodology, and skilful management of success factors. Significant financial planning and business case building experience.
  • Significant IT experience in roles of increasing scope and responsibility which can include Finance, Accounting Control, Business Relationship Management, Business Analysis, IT Leadership and IT Strategy development
  • Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills and ability to solve highly complex problems
  • Ability to listen, build rapport, and credibility as a strategic partner vertically within the business unit or function, as well as with leadership and functional teams.
  • Able to communicate technical or complex subject matter to senior-level leaders in business terms. Proven track record of building consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly self-motivated individual, capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously, with a track record of driving competing & conflicting priorities.
