What does the role involve?
We are looking for a curious analyst who will strengthen our Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department for 6 months, from February 2020 onwards! This internship gives you the chance to gain a lot of knowledge about the full P&L and business drivers causing variances to Plan as well as systems and creating efficiency in our monthly processes. We are looking for a curious and enthusiastic intern who will support the FP&A department in compiling the full P&L and cracking the numbers.
As a finance analyst intern, you will support in providing the periodic updates of the full P&L and provide analysis and insights in the variances versus Plan. You will for example look into the performance of Advertising & Marketing, Cost of Goods Sold or Overheads. On top of that you will support embedding our newly implemented forecasting tool, this gives you the opportunity to learn the tool inside out and also leave a footprint in the processes we will work with going forward.
Our team is responsible for the provision of a rolling forecasting, enabling our management to make profound decisions to steer the business. This includes performance of all brands within PepsiCo’s portfolio, including Lay’s, Doritos, Pepsi, Quaker, etc. You will work closely together with colleagues of different departments such as Supply Chain, Forecasting & Reporting and Commercial Finance.
To be successful in this role, you need to be curious to understand what causes changes in the performance. You also need to be capable to run accurate analyses. Furthermore, you should like to take initiative and run projects independently. You should also have strong communication skills, since you need to interact with other departments and get your insights
across in a consistent and unified manner.
