General Summary:

The Supervisor is responsible for accounting for a range of areas within PBC and ensures the accuracy of the PBC financial statements. Activities could cover a range of areas – Controllable Costs, Trade Spend, COGS, A&M, and Fixed Assets. This role contributes to the success of Pepsi Beverages Company (PBC) by performing close processes for PBC and supporting various teams i.e. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams; Sales; Supply Chain operations. Role coordinates total PBC financial analyses for P&L and Balance Sheet activity, and prepares support for requests of both internal and external auditors and ad hoc requests.

Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

  • Complete period, quarter and annual general ledger and sub-ledger closing process
  • Review and analyze P&L results, including comparisons to prior period, prior year, forecast, and plan
  • Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accurate financials
  • Prepare and review periodic balance sheet reconciliations and schedules, as well as quarterly balance sheet analytics
  • Support accuracy of sub-ledger
  • Support sub-ledger reporting and upgrades
  • Work with various operational teams as well as Control and FP&A counterparts to manage timely submission of periodic results
  • Maintain an adequate control environment by executing key controls to ensure alignment with PBC policies
  • Document and review all processes, key controls, and desktop procedures
  • Identify areas of opportunity for automation and simplification of reporting processes
Additional Support Tasks and Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Associate Manager with consolidated PBC financial statements results, including analytics, risks/opportunities, and other ad hoc requests
  • Lead special projects to improve overall Reporting performance through process improvements and automation


Basic Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 4+ years of related experience required (CPA a plus)
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word, with the ability to learn and utilize multiple systems including Oracle, Hyperion and Business Objects
