Purpose of the role:

The primary focus of this role is to provide financial management, control rigor and value add analysis of Cost of Goods (COGS) for Comanufacturing for the SWER market units. This is a new area from a coman point of view arising from the recent sale of PEP owned sites to a Coman partner. This gave SWER a scale which requires full time support from the Coman team and nitration into its processes. Working closely with the MU planning teams and control functions, you will process actuals and forecasting data and prepare clear cost and cause of change. You will be responsible for the full costing and planning of the coman spend, ensuring accurate data management (costcard preparation) and reporting from the TM1 system. To that, your scope will include highlighting and explaining key drivers of performance variances and providing stakeholders with forecasts underlining risks and opportunities.

Main accountabilities:

  • Work with local control and planning teams to produce accurate period close with fully explained cause of change
  • Prepare AOP and LE forecasts, including the integration of guidance on commodities.
  • Prepare summary of actual results including a clear articulation of the drivers of variances to plan and forecast ie. PV, FX, productivity etc. per category
  • Financial cost card ownership and accountability for accuracy of system data (in TM1) for all live Coman SKUs across all categories (Juice, Snacks, Grains and Beverages) in Spain, Portugal and Italy, ensuring alignment with local ERPs
  • Regular interaction with Coman and GP teams to ensure BOMs are live and up to date
  • Liaison with CSL and the Co-Man purchasing teams to ensure that financial systems are loaded with the correct data from point of purchase (BPA) through receipting of goods to the payment of the invoice
  • Own the calculation, update and communication of coman productivity on behalf of the BUs, ensuring all variances are understood by key stakeholders
  • Provision of clearly understood and quantified risks and opportunities within the BU Coman Plan/Forecast, data to be provide in-line with BU timelines
  • Support the SCF E2E teams by providing insights to facilitate optimum sourcing decision making
  • Deliver an excellent service to GBS Finance clients

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Strong finance background
  • Financial technical skills achieved through accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA) and post qualification experience, FMCG industry would be an asset
  • Integration of new coman processes and tools to work effectively with the SWER planning team for COGS roll up
  • Good communication skills in order to provide clearly articulated and appropriate messages across wide spectrum of stakeholders, from equivalent BU analysts to Director/Senior Director level
  • Determination and drive to fully understand current processes in Coman agenda, and challenge the status quo to deliver improvements and share best practice across both Coman and the rest of SC Finance
  • Self starter with the ability to work autonomously driving own agenda balanced with capacity to recognise when support required
  • Intellectual capacity to link accounting concepts to underlying financial data systems in order to understand, analyse and interpret both actual results and forecast data
  • Proficiency in English language essential, Spanish an advantage
  • Balance competing stakeholder requirements
  • Good problem solving, analytical skills, ability to prioritize tasks
