Sr. Voice Architecture and engineering lead’s role will be global in nature and architecture guidance will be critical to PepsiCo Global Transformation initiatives related to Enterprise Voice Capabilities (Cloud PBX, Oracle Session Border Controllers (SBC), Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and VOIP/Video Conferencing)
The Sr. Voice Architecture and engineering lead will be a member of the Global Unified Communication and Collaboration organization. This resource will serve as a subject matter expert in the area of Voice Architecture and Engineering. The resource will provide thought leadership, provide technical oversight, and ensure that voice solutions meet PepsiCo requirements.
This role will work closely with the sector delivery leads, infrastructure engineers and SMEs, and IT engineers and architects. The recipient should demonstrate experience across key infrastructure domains including Network, Cloud, IT Service Management, Unified Communication, Collaboration and Security.
Build an architecture community for the Voice domain under Unified Communication to define enterprise technology standards, facilitate leverage and re-use, and ensure successful delivery of global Voice Services across the enterprise.
This Voice Architect will drive standardization and simplification across the existing environments and develop roadmaps to reduce overall total cost of ownership (TCO) for the Unified Communication Voice domain
Development, refinement, publishing, and socialization of patterns, policies and guidelines, and technology standards
Provides exceptional technical and/or analytical support in identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems of moderate to highly complex business communication systems.
Ensuring the successful deployment of Voice solutions
Provide guidance and recommendations to the Infrastructure Architecture teams on standards and designs.
Produce architecture and engineering specifications and design documents
Lead the architecture direction and design issues as well as influence peers, cross-functional partners, and IT leadership
Effectively presenting facts and recommendations in oral and written form
In depth experience around driving complex engineering projects and supporting enterprise class voice, video and unified communication services.
Proven experience with PSTN infrastructure components like Voice over IP (VoIP) gateways, Session Boarder Controllers (SBC)
Comprehensive and in-depth understanding of voice, video and unified communication concepts and procedures. Possesses broad knowledge of concepts in order to resolve issues impacting other areas.
Advanced knowledge and proficiency with QOS controls and data transfer rates
Experience in designing/implementing VoIP technologies
Excellent working knowledge of Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP)
Experience with Oracle SBCs, Cisco Call Manager and Administration of Avaya systems
Call Manager Migrations.
Must have experience guiding multiple projects, leading vendor selections and negotiations, and a strong understanding of the vendors and technologies.
Proven ability in managing large scale infrastructure refreshes, consolidating and modernizing voice technology footprints, cloud integration and migration.
Experience working in a global environment with stakeholders across multiple geographies.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of translating strategies into plans that can be effectively executed.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline; 10+ years’ experience with Voice and Video infrastructures, engineering management, and familiarity with a broad range of collaboration technologies
