The Senior Manager of DX Capabilities contributes to PepsiCo Beverages Canada’s success by leading the development of the omni-channel shopper insights learning agenda for PepsiCo Beverages. They will create and execute world-class shopper and category solutions that will act as a growth multiplier for PepsiCo and its retail partners, by accelerating category demand and creating a distinct competitive advantage.

The Senior Manager of DX Capabilities is responsible for leading the development and implementation of Canadian specific shopper and category insights tools based upon PepsiCo global best practice. These proprietary and analytically oriented tools will require this individual to leverage several different category, consumer and shopper data sources to create capabilities that will unlock loyalty and granular growth. The Senior Manager of DX Capabilities will also lead the communication and training of these materials with our internal team and activation of insights through these tools with our retail partners. They will be asked to work closely with the sales strategy team to support the development of insights that influence activation toward our strategic business plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong wiring and working relationship with the PepsiCo U.S. DX team; leverage resources and best practices where appropriate
  • Lead the development of Canadian DX Insights Tools including leading the compilation of the data required and the output tools to interpret the data
  • Lead the implementation of a Canadian ‘Store of the Future’ selling framework for both large format and small format; informed and supported through DX insights
  • Coach and lead the development of consumer, shopper and category insights based plans with category managers that will enable the activation of AOP objectives
  • Establish and lead the communication of an on-line DX Portal to share materials and best practices
  • Lead and support the use of the analytic process and all analytic tools across the Category Management team in order to successfully achieve all Category Management AOP objectives

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA degree preferred
  • 5-10 years’ experience in CPG Sales with 2+ years senior level account management; field sales experience and /or direct store delivery environment an asset
  • Consumer / Shopper Insights experience an asset
  • Category management, shelf management or business analysis experience in consumer packaged goods industry an asset;
  • Knowledge of consumer brand marketing;
  • Self-starter, able to work independently on projects
  • Solid leadership and interpersonal skills required
  • Strong analytical skills, able to synthesize information to develop understanding and insights
  • Strong communication and presentation skills required
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency: Microsoft Suite
  • Technical expertise with Nielsen Answers, Environics Prizm5, Tableau an asset
  • Solid organizational and project management skills – able to establish priorities, strong detailed execution and ability to multi-task;
  • Possess a valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • Some business travel required
