The Walmart Team is looking for a creative, results-oriented Senior Marketing Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment to lead a team in developing and executing the Shopper Marketing Strategy to support PepsiCo’s growth objectives at Walmart. This role will be critical in driving volume, sales and brand equity across the Quaker portfolio. The Senior Marketing Manager will act as the primary point person for all Quaker portfolio brands at Walmart inclusive of leading the Shopper Marketing planning process and driving transformational capabilities with our customer partners. In addition to being part of the greater marketing organization, this role is wired into the Walmart internal sales team and is part of the internal Walmart Leadership Team – providing great commercial collaboration and organizational visibility.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the team in delivering a marketing AOP for his/her respective businesses that drive annual growth through the translation of AOP Big Bets and other initiatives
  • Lead the developmaent and execution of differentiated Shopper Marketing omnichannel programming grounded in brand, consumer, shopper and retailer insights
  • Assess customer strategic positioning relative to trends, shoppers and competitors in order to identify white space opportunities for growth
  • Provide thought leadership to raise the level of strategic thinking & marketing creativity and inspire the development of new shopper engagement models and innovative ways to activate at retail. Encourage experimentation with future-focused engagement tools and techniques (across such platforms as digital, social, and mobile)
  • Partner with Insights to identify the Problems to Solve at Walmart in order to build strategic programs that deliver a win/win/win for brands, shoppers and Walmart
  • Actively collaborate with Brand Teams, Customer Teams, Sales, Sales Strategy, Insights, Category Leadership, and other functional leads to support Joint Business Planning and program execution
  • Develop and execute select Power of One (“Better Together”) custom marketing programs with Frito-Lay and PBNA designed to build the PepsiCo portfolio within Walmart
  • Proactively influence brand investment strategy and establish clear accountability for funding of each event. Align customer and internal brand teams on customer-relevant programs and strategies
  • Actively oversee the management of a $9MM Shopper A&M budget
  • Summarize and communicate program impact, lessons learned, and incorporate learning into future programs
  • Collaborate with key cross-functional partners to identify opportunities for growth and build selling stories. Specific partnership opportunities exist within both the Digital and eCommerce strategic spaces
  • Manage one Associate based in Chicago, IL



  • Minimum Qualification: Undergraduate Degree
  • Preferred: MBA with a concentration in Marketing

  • A minimum of 8 years prior Marketing experience; 10 years preferred
  • Prior Marketing experience within consumer packaged goods required; food and beverage experience preferred
  • Prior leadership/management experience required
  • Ability to analyze relevant data, insights and information to identify opportunities and develop a strategy and plans to address
  • Ability to think and act strategically with a focus on driving a commercial agenda
  • Ability to lead and influence across multiple levels of the organization
  • Ability to effectively lead, collaborate, communicate and influence in a matrix environment
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple agendas and develop the appropriate strategies and plans
