Main Purpose:
The Franchise Operations role is a critical part of ROC (Rest of Caribbean) management, with responsibilities that include (1) driving and managing the product innovation agenda internally and externally, (2) acting as the principal interface and commercial link with SSC and Exports personnel (a key responsibility given the dominance of the distributor model, which represents 76% of ROC volume), (3) overseeing and managing marketing funds with the support of a third-party contractor and SSC (tracking, invoicing, approving and ensuring timely reimbursement to partners and payment to third parties).
Accountabilities:

  1. Through innovation, contribute to AOP targets (Volume, Net Revenue, NOPBT, cash flow) in support of total BU objectives
  2. Lead innovation agenda (finished products):
    1. Identify U.S.-produced brand/SKU opportunities (act as bridge with N. America Beverages)
    2. Co-lead prioritization / selection process with ROC Franchise Manager
    3. Lead quantification of impact (volume, NR, MC) with input from ROC Franchise Manager
    4. Lead comprehensive import request process with SSC, Exports, Regulatory, BU Finance
  3. Act as liaison and commercial link with SSC and Exports on multiple operational requirements:
  1. Escalation for problem resolution on logistics-related issues with distributors
  2. Coordinate credit limit requests with Finance
  3. Lead new vendor creation process
  4. Support forecast processes between distributors and Exports
  5. Coordinate product sourcing change analysis / decisions with Operations and Exports
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional team on Incoterm analysis & decisions
  1. Lead management of A&M with support of third-party contractor (Auxis):
  1. Review and approve ongoing marketing reimbursement requests from 27 distributors
  2. Monitor reimbursements and lead resolution of differences in accounting/approvals, etc.
  3. Track execution of spending in conjunction with Auxis and Finance
  1. Support Trade Marketing agenda:
    1. Determine specific material needs (POS material) with Franchise Manager and Marketing
    2. Identify US supplier options and negotiate timing, pricing, and other terms
    3. Manage order, deliver, invoicing and payment processes
  2. Other:
  1. Manage and support internal reporting needs (SSC Accounting, BU sales reporting, etc.)
  2. Ensure accuracy in pricing and invoicing between distributors and SSC
  3. Support development and presentation of AOP and POR with manager

Qualifications/Requirements

Key Skills:

  1. University Degree (Bachelor level Business, Management, Marketing, or Finance preferred)
  2. Minimum 3 years working experience in junior managerial positions with commercial focus, ideally within FMCG
  3. Working knowledge of US export practices/regulations (preferably in consumer goods), logistics/supply chain experience is preferred
  4. Experience in A/R, Credit, Payments, Claims is a plus
  5. Some knowledge/experience with English-speaking Caribbean countries is ideal
  6. Basic quantitative / mathematical abilities (financial competencies is a plus)
  7. Negotiation and problem resolution skills
  8. Customer service mentality
  9. Multi-tasking and management of issues that involve multiple functions/entities (internal & external)
  10. Basic abilities in Excel and Powerpoint
  11. Multi-cultural sensitivity
  12. Perseverance, equilibrium & positive attitude under day-to-day operational pressure
  13. English fluency (written and spoken); Spanish is also helpful/preferred
